Well two things, first and foremost the win over Browne was not impressive, the guy couldn't stand when he got knocked out because of an injury he received from doing that stupid wheel kick. Not only that but he was going into the fight whereas if he lost he was more than likely getting cut.

Secondly he had been brutally and decisively knocked out by Daniel Cormier and Cain Velasquez two men that are clearly on the same level as Alistair Overeem. I think many would much rather see both men fight their contemporaries (Frank Mir/Daniel Cormier/Shane Carwin) or (Roy Nelson/Cheick Kongo/Stefan Struve) then to see this one sided beat down.

Still a beautiful KO, regardless of Browne's own idiocy. You're also going to have to reword that last sentence for me.

That's an entirely different point. I take no issue with people stating that Bigfoot would get his arse kicked by Overeem, as that is likely true. But taking shots at his physical appearance and mental capacity because he wants to fight the best in his division? That makes little sense to me, as bigger and better fights should be the aspiration of every fighter. People are pissing on Silva because he wants to make an attempt at re-climbing the ladder. Is this not why athletes compete?

Good points!

people take things way too seriously and to the heart when Big Foot speaks. People don't realize:
A) Language barrier and translation
B) He says things in mild, humorous manner (light jabs at Overeem, nothing wrong with that)
C) Wants to get back on the horse and take another stab at the elite and get a crack at the title

I'm not debating Big Foot would get worked over hard by Overeem... But I like Antonio and he has a big heart. No one here can tell me if you were in his situation you wouldn't do the same thing? An elite athlete wants to be the best and fight the best at all times.

Cut the guy some slack guys. Big Ups Canadian Psycho

Browne wasn't an idiot for throwing that kick, he likely landed it in practice hundreds of times. It wasn't a beautiful KO because it was a one legged fighter who had the ref stepped him and called a doctor may have already been out.

The second part, Silva had lost two fights in a row going into this fight with Browne, had he lost that would have lost three fights in a row and he would have likely been cut.

I don't know about that, I don't think I made fun of his personal appearance, I don't think acromegaly is a laughing matter. But that isn't what I read from and take issue with your post. Silva calling out Overeem is a dumb decision, he can take on men in the top ten without challenging a top five fighter. Personally I hate when the UFC cuts guys that are in the top twenty and Antonio Silva taking a bad fight like that and falling to 1-3 in his last four would do that.

I understand you wanting to fighters try and reclimb a ladder. But it's called climbing for a reason, you go up one rung at a time, you don't go up a few rungs and try to jump to the top when we do that we fall off.

Let's not compare Bigfoot's MMA skills to Choi's. Thank you.

It isn't a terrible fight.

But I wouldn't be that interested because I believe it would be pretty one-sided.

Fedor made a career out of beating larger, talented fighters. While I won't deny that having Big Foot Silva on top of you would be a nightmare, I think it more a case that Fedor's time had come and gone. Happens to the best of them.

I agree he has obviously declined, but I would disagree with the assumption that he fought similar opponents in PRIDE.

I don't think he fought anyone in PRIDE who has the combination of size, strength and ground skills of Bigfoot. Big Nog is a better BJJ practitioner but the difference in size between Nog and Fedor is not too much.

Coleman and Randleman had the size advantage but not the ground skills to avoid the submission. The rest of the bigger guys he fought were either not particularly talented or their talent was not in grappling (where Bigfoot dominated Fedor).
