Cutting weight improves your punching power?
I don't doubt that Edgar has the ability to decision Aldo, but I also have no doubt that Edgar will not KO Aldo clean.

Jones shouldn't have a legitimate contender till...2014 seeing as how he's drawing Sonnen in April and likely a catch-weight fight with Anderson Silva in fall of 2013.

Aldo not a single doubt in my mind. Jones has been fighting elite level guys, Aldo is taking a big step up in the level of fighter he is facing stepping in with Edgar.

Taking a negative out of a potential win against Anderson Silva is a talent, I commend you for it.

Really...no doubt what so ever? How can you be so sure? Aldo is hardly proven against the quality of someone like Edgar - and im saying this while still predicting Aldo would take it.

The consequences of that Anderson Silva win have serious repercussions for the entire division. The division is already on hold for 18 months another 6 is just sad.

Jones has already beaten most of the top guys in his division, while Aldo has yet to face his greatest challenges, seeing that his division is not as stacked. Knowing Edgar, if the fight is close enough to be slightly controversal, he'll ask for a rematch, and he'll probably get it. Jones still has challanges ahead of him (Cormier, Gus, etc...) while Aldo is more likely to move up a weight class.
So if I had to flip a coin and guess, I'd probably say Aldo.
Basically what it comes down to is which fight is going to happen sooner between Jones/Cormier and Aldo/Edgar, and which champion is more likely to defeat his toughest challenge.

Bader elite? LMFAO
That version of Rampage elite? LMFAO
That version of Shgoun elite? LMFAO
Chael and Vitor are elite 185lbers.
So really, Rashad and Machida are the only elite fighters he's beaten.
