If he didn't freeze up out of respect for his 'idol' then I'd take him by some sort of mauling.
I'm a big Anderson fan. But I've always thought Jones would win by taking him down and landing elbows. But I wouldn't say he is a bigger version of Anderson with wrestling. His striking is no where near the same style or level. His reach is great.

I am beginning to think there is a confidence thing that would go into this. I begin to think Jones is wary of getting KO'd by Silva in the back of his head...

I guess we will never know until they fight.

As much as Silva is the GOAT and I love watching him fight, Jones takes this one. If Chael can get him down, Jones will.

Jones will bust up his face, I hate to say it. People rag on Jones for his attitude and behavior, but in the octagon nobody is going to stop him. Anderson's weakness is takedowns, Jones' strength is takedowns, he has deadly elbows from the top, Jones is larger, younger and stronger than Anderson; that unfortunately is the exact recipe to defeat Anderson Silva. Anderson connects with the strikes when people stand and throw with him, Jones won't be like Bonnar, he will get Anderson down with ease.

??? Jones is The largest guy at LHW as far as I know. He said in March of 2012 he walks around at 240 and is just getting bigger and bigger. Jones himself doesn't know how long he can actually fight at LHW due to his large frame.

Silva has been known to get up to 215-220... But rest assure that wasn't muscle...He has a horrible diet...

And yeah, I'm pretty sure Jones is bigger and stronger than Anderson.
You said that Jones is a bigger, stronger version of Anderson which implies that the two fighters share remarkable similarities in their fighting style, they don't.

Jon Jones is a monster wrestler who likes to imitate Andersons striking. Key word - imitate.

Anderson Silva is a god like striker with a dangerous BJJ game.

The two fighters are really nothing alike.

I was comparing them by body types, both guys are long and rangy. Anderson is the better striker by leaps and bounds but Jones is the better wrestler, probably, by leaps and bounds. Jones however is clearly bigger and stronger and imo is the better fighter between the two.

Well then you should have clearly stated that in your initial post.

Yes, you're probably right. Jones would man handle Anderson just the same he did against Shogun and Rampage, after all, being old school fighters, these three fighters fight exactly the same, right?
