Report: Dana White pulls UFC events from Palms after casino reduces his gambling cred

I got a kick out of this story...haha! What a way to lose a whale. One with unlimited capital.

UFC President Dana White has reportedly pulled all future mixed martial arts (MMA) events from The Palms Las Vegas Resort after the struggling casino reduced his gambling credit line by 50 percent.

Don't cross the boss.

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) President Dana White has pulled all future mixed martial arts (MMA) events from The Palms Casino Resort after the struggling hotel reduced his gambling credit line by 50 percent, according a report from the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

Nothing business, just personal.

White, who allegedly racked up dinner bills upward of $20,000, while factoring in generous $10,000 tips, is no stranger to "Sin City" gambling stories, denying reports back in 2010 that he allegedly owed the Bellagio hotel more than $1 million following an unsuccessful run at the casino tables.

The Palms was known for hosting The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) events inside its "Pearl" theater.

Not coincidentally, TUF 16 live finale, featuring a heavyweight showdown between head coaches Roy Nelson and Shane Carwin, will broadcast live from the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on Dec. 15, 2012. See more on that upcoming fight card by clicking here.

Palms is a nice little quaint place, but it's nothing compared to the casinos on the strip. Not a big deal really...

Or maybe it's just speculation, it's bleacher report not a reliable source. Maybe a struggling casino can't afford to host the UFC or maybe this card is simply not being held there for a bazillion reasons.

The Palms Casino Resort reduced UFC President, Dana White’s gambling credit line by 50 percent in turn White has pulled all future mixed martial arts (MMA) events from The Palms according to the Las Vegas Review.

White, is no stranger to “Sin City” gambling stories, denying reports back in 2010 that he allegedly owed the Bellagio hotel more than $1 million following an unsuccessful run at the casino tables. He is dubbed as one of the Palms’ biggest gamblers since it opened 11 years ago; White’s tipping habits were legendary.

“He changed people’s lives,” said one of the sources.

Dealers and wait staff were among the hardest hit by White’s departure. During one two-month hot streak, White tipped dealers more than $100,000, sources confirmed.

“Anytime he came in, we knew it was a big payday,” a Palms employee said.

A regular at N9NE Steakhouse, White routinely ran up dinner tabs of $15,000-$20,000 and tossed in $10,000 tips. That happened three or four or times a week, the sources said.

“He rarely accepted comps, not just at the Palms but all over Vegas,” one source said.

The UFC had an exclusive contract with the Palms to hold televised “Ultimate Fighter Live Finale” events at the hotel inside its “Pearl” theater as well as local UFC fights.

TUF 16 live finale, between head coaches Roy Nelson and Shane Carwin, will broadcast live from the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on Dec. 15, 2012
