What's that really got to do with this thread? JDS stated that he would beat him at his own game, in a boxing ring.

If he feels that's the case, then why is Junior making terrible business decisions and staying put in MMA, when he could be making millions in boxing?

JDS would get boxed silly by Klitschko.

I'm wondering what kind of leading questions they asked him to get him to say that. Presumably he didn't just call the writer up and say "Listen, I've got something to tell you about Wladimir Klitschko, come down to [restaurant] and let's talk."

If you seriously have to ask the question. You simply don't get it.
Well as far as I can see JDS has the full range of punches, great footwork, great head movement and he hits very hard and he is very fast. Pretty much the factors that make you a great boxer. For you to right him off so completely doesnt make sense to me. We are not talking about tim sylvia here we are talking about a guy who has won the UFC title on purely his boxing skills. If the fight actually happened of course Klitch would be favourite but I'd still give JDS a chance, a lot more chance then the fools that have been fightin for the title the last 5 years

Are you seriously implying that JDS is better then anyone Kiltch has faced over that time? You are proving my point. You just don't get it.

Edit: Another UK poster?

We have to see JDS against elite boxers to really make any assumptions. He's looked spectacular so far but the Frank Mirs and Stefan Struves wouldn't do so good inside a boxing ring. Meanwhile Wlad is looking impressive against the best HW boxers of the world.

Time for the gold belt grappler James Toney to return to the UFC.

I think everyone is getting over the top with this. One defining feature of Junior is his mentality, he lives to fight, the result of this is that every time he steps in the cage his confidence is through the roof.

In a sport where there are so many ways to win and lose, his hands are yet to fail him in the top organization. There's more to his game than just boxing, or he wouldn't be where he is, but that particular art is his love and best weapon.

JDS thinks he can defeat any man in combat and by the time he steps in the Octagon he KNOWS it 100%. That's why he's Champ and probably will be for a while.

I laughed.

But yeah, I could see JDS getting KOed by Wlad. He would be coming forward a bit too much and not giving any respect to Wlad, and be walking into jabs and straights all along the way.

Thanks to Ape for the sig.
