carwin was jds toughest fight for sure

lets face it he beat a skinny carwin via a gsp jab-n-run gameplan. carwin was jus there in the pocket wanting to exchange with him but all dos santos was doing was jabbing. sure he cut carwin up good and all but carwin took it to him all 3 rds. he got a nice single leg takedown, rocked jds with a hook, and almost subbed him in the last rd. of every jds opponents carwin was the toughest.

He rocked him did we watch the same fight? Also he was never close with that across the body I'm squeezing your neck because this is my second jiu jitsu class bullshit. Not to mention JDS hurt him badly in the first twice and almost finished the fight. Sure it might have been his toughest fight but that doesn't mean it was close.

Seriously Wtf is with this guy threads.

I think Carwin is an awesome fighter but JDS schooled him.

Carwin isn't a great fighter first off. JDS had no troubles with Carwin (and shouldn't have either) and admitted in the post fight interviews that he played it safe in order to get the title shot, hence his jab and move tactics.

Crocop was JDS' toughest fight to date. He stunned (not rocked) JDS couple of times in that fight and landed some good clean shots.

That said, how effortlessly Carwin swept Junior in the dying seconds of that round raised some suspicions for me. The two times we have seen Junior on the ground for any extended period of time he was either submitted (Joaquim Ferreira) or easily swept and reversed (Shane Carwin).

I think Cain will have his way with JDS once he gets him to the ground.

I don't like this trend of talking about smart game-plans as if they're somehow a cop-out. What JDS did in there was he BOXED, rather than scrapped, fought, brawled, whatever you want to call it.
