So how is he not in his natural weight clasS? He has been at 185 for years and at age 38 it is still a fairly easy cut for him to make.

He started off at 168lbs. He actually has moved up a weight class in his life. Where as GSP and Jones started off in theirs. Bendo is HUGE for 155. Cruz moved DOWN a weight. He is the only elite fighter right now that has moved up from where he started his career.

What on earth are you talking about?
Natural weight class. i.e - does not need to cut weight to fight at that weight.

Notice how BJ isn't on there...haha...lolz...roflz! To me BJ was a top five. He's the only one that fought three weight classes above his normal weight. Kenflo doesn't count because he worked backwards; MW then to Feather.

*NOTE* Anderson fought at WW conquered, moved to MW conquered it, and moonlights in the HW division. The UFC needs to pay him more for him risking everything at a higher weight class. There is no doubt in my mind Anderson is the only one capable of holding all four titles.

GSP has always fought at WW.

WW - if he truly wanted to he could do it. His skill sets won't change, it's just his conditioning and how his body would react to the drastic weight cut. But a good tester is to compare the younger Anderson to see how he'd fare against the current crop of fighters. I'll tell you he's more than capable of knocking out Condit, Diaz, and GSP.
MW
LHW - He has tremendous power at LHW. Way more than in MW. That's 20lbs of muscles packed on without slowing him down much.
HW - He'll probably come in at 205 and fight the 225ers. It's obvious the wrestlers will smother him so he would need to end it as quickly as possible on the feet or weather the storm. He can take the punches as seen against Bader and Big Nog.

HW would be the toughest because the fighters are so much bigger and stronger. Their skill sets won't even matter. Cuz they can just hold anyone down and grind it out with pure raw strength.

This small circuit fighter once asked me if I'd fight Brock, he said " would you do it for a thousand bucks, but you'd have to fight from the guard." I was like...uh...that would require a six figure deposit. If Brock is on top of you it's unlikely you're gonna get up.

But yah I see what he's saying with Frankie. Unfortunately his losses knock em down the list.

My P4P rankings.

1.) Anderson "The Spider" Silva
2.) GSP
3.) LHW title holder
4.) Jose Aldo
5.) Dan Henderson (fought at 185, fights at 205, fought Fedor)
6.) Bendo
7.) Gilbert Melendez
8.) Mighty Mouse
9.) Vitor Belfort
10.) Roy Nelson

lolz...j/k...maybe DC or Joseph Benavidez.

Am I the only one who defines P4P as a ranking relative to weight? Hence the phrase... pound for pound

Well who exactly fights at their natural weight class then? Edgar? (He doesn't anymore!) Machida because Anderson has the 185 title. Rashad was a HW for gods sakes and is just a fat boy who doesn't want to lose cardio. Hendo does now at age 41. He fought at 185 for a while.

So the answer really is no one that doesn't have to. I.E. Machida and Hendo?

The term shouldn't even be used because it isn't relevant in today's MMA.

All I know is 185 for Anderson is just as natural for him if not more so than 170 is for GSP and 205 is for Bones. Sonnen started have bad cuts to 185...he went up. Hendo hated cutting....he went up. Wandy hated cutting....he went back up. Yet Anderson still makes 185 on the dot (not 186) with relative ease. But some how he is fighting at such a weight that is so unnatural! I don't agree.

The very nature of the middleweight division is for fighters who can't/won't compete at their natural 205 weight class (Bisping, Belfort, Boetsch, Weidman(NCAA), Sonnen, Munoz) and Silva are LHW's. This is a big reason why you never see other fighters from 185 even considered for P4P lists. Coming in 202 might mean something if Jon Jones didn't come in at 204 for his last fight. How can Anderson Silva be the best P4P fighter in the world when no one else in his division is even in the discussion.

Not sure how anyone can't say Anderson. Even in the truest multiple weights argument.

Some people want to see him go to 178 and smash a guy like GSP. (he entertained going all the way to 170)

Many feel he is Jones only test that isn't HW. So they want him to go to 205 and fight the best there is at that weight.

He has wrecked fools at 185 for moons.

Some people have entertained hm going to HW and having a super fight or 2. Anderson has entertained it also.

So how is THAT guy not P4P #1 on ALL peoples lists? Opinions of people vary from a bunch of weights. Wanting him to take on the best at all of those weights. Who else in MMA is thought of like that? Who is the only guy in all of MMA that MIGHT be able to pull that all off?

Probably because he beats so many 185er so easily that no one wants to place them there.

185 Vitor just gave Bones a tougher fight than Shogun did.

185 Sonnen is focking getting a title shot at 205.

2 guys Anderson WHOOPED up on at 185 are now getting title shots at 205. And another guys who WAS going to get it was Hendo....Who Anderson ALSO beat down at 185.

Jones is fighting a bunch of 185ers Anderson has killed. And you want to act like 205 fighters are so much better? How?

That makes no sense. You are caught up in name value. Shogun is a shell of his former self fighting a close one with Vera. Rampage is a joke. Rashad is a guy who belongs at 185. The 205 division is a joke because many don't want to cut the weight. Because they are too old to do so.

205 division is so overrated. How can you still rate it so high when they are having to recycle ANderson's 185 left overs and give them title shots at 205? How can you with a straight face bash 185 and gloat about 205? Seems idiotic.

This is only to piss Anderson Silva. This fool thinks he can play mind tricks with the person who played with all his opponents!!

Let GSP try, just try to finish Condit, then open his mouth and speak bullsh***t about the #1 fighter in MMA history, not just the UFC!

I don't even want to see ANderson/GSP anymore. Forget they have been the #1 and #2 P4P best for the last several years...separated by 1 weight class.

Anderson destroys him and anyone who doesn't care for Anderson will say the fight didn't matter. Anderson was too big.

Yet Jones beats a bunch of guys who hardly cut to 205 and those are GREAT wins. You can't win with Anderson bashers. They want him to do it all and then some at age 37.

IN ADDITION: GSP beats a smaller Penn TWICE....and those are some of the biggest wins of his career.

Anderson is much older than GSP. Willing to do a catchweight. Penn was older than GSP...and GSP didn't do a catchweight. Yet Anderson's win wouldn't mean much to some people.

The hypocrisy I can't stand.
