Nate Marquardt - Would you like to see him back in the UFC at 170?
Now that I have your attention, I ask ye MMAF, what do you all think about Nate Marquardt at 170 lbs in the UFC? Personally, I thought he was impressive against Woodley who is very solid and as you can see in the GIF above he finished Woodley in terrifying fashion. Long time fans will remember he sent Martin Kampmann to 170 with a brutal finish back at UFC 88, Kampmann is now a top five Welterweight.
Not sure if Nate can beat GSP or Condit but I really hope he comes over if SF is abolished, and he fights for the title instantly. Either fight is great and not to mention we could get Nate vs. the likes of Koscheck, Diaz, Ellenberger, Fitch, and even a rematch with Maia. Lots of good fights to be made and the dude is a beast.

I was taking your post seriously until:
"and he fights for the title instantly. "
Then i realised you're just trolling us.
Nice try.
I'll however leave my opinion on the matter.
He is a proven cheater and i bet he cheated against Paul Harris,
i don't care to see his kind in the UFC.

I forgot, what was the reason behind him parting ways with UFC? I'd obviously want to see him back, he's a top fighter and deserves to be there.

Fold him in now. It's a shame he hasn't fought in the UFC in a couple of years. Knee jerk reactions by by Dana and co, it doesn't do anyone any favors.

And why should he not fight for the title? He's clearly a top ten Welterweight at the very least and holds the Strikeforce title.
It was already proven that he didn't cheat against Palhares, he just like Belcher and Hendo the other two guys Palhares has fought that was worth a damn just happened to be better than him. He's also not even on TRT.

Palhares comes from a tropical (meaning lots of heat and humidity are the plate of the day), he trains that leg lock with filthy sweaty guys for years. I'm sure he can tell the difference between a sweaty or a oiled leg. Not so sure if Herb can...
As to the drug cheating part, who cares if it's TRT or something else. It's cheating nonetheless, enough to make me wish you don't step foot inside the octogon ever again.

He's taken steroids multiple times, but he is a historically good fighter.

I'm a huge, huge fan of Marquardt and was very disappointed in him as well as how things fell out for him. I'd be happy to see him back in the UFC but I think he has to atone for screwing up the Story fight and should only come back in at the middle of the pack. He's 33 now and if he could put together a comeback fight and a contender fight I think it would be fair to give him a #1 contender fight to get a title shot.
