I think Overeem has the tools to stand with Jds, and sure Jds has alot of power, but so does the Reem.
Let us not pretend that Brock actually tried to wrestle in that fight.

Overeem came out with a very awkward style that would of made it akward for Brock to attemp. Plus if I remember correct Brock did try for a takedown.

Diaz..Edgar.. Cormier.. Cain.. Mir.. Overeem.. Jon Jones

Seems like you yourself are basing this too much on Overeems K-1 background.

Overeem may have been the K-1 grand prix winner, however they compete in MMA. JDS is training wrestling and BJJ with the Nogueiras and other Brazilians, and I believe he will have an advantage over Overeem in that despite the size and strenght advantage
It's not like Overeem is a rookie MMA fighter here with just a striking background. If you're heading that direction, you have to give the advantage here to Overeem who has 19 SUB victories and has proven himself in submission grappling.
In terms of striking, Overeem is not the best in K-1 even if he won the grand prix. JDS is considered the best striker in UFC by boxers like Klitschko and David Haye.
Like you said, it's an MMA fight. Whether someone considers them the best or not in their respective worlds won't affect the outcome.
Going by the logic that JDS only uses his hands and kickboxing is better then boxing, then a top k-1 fighter like Mirko Cro Cop should have beat JDS by striking, but he got stopped.
Also note that Overeem has a suspect chin, and was rocked fighting in K-1 by people no bigger then JDS.
Logically, kickboxing is better for MMA than just boxing but it's really a matter of utilizing it and putting everything together. Your kind of using MMA math here which never works. Just because Mirko couldn't do it doesn't mean Overeem can't either.
Just because JDS never competed in K-1, doesn't mean he's not a top striker that can't beat Overeem in MMA
That i agree with, JDS is by far one of the best strikers in the division and can knock out anyone with one punch. JDS is going to be Overeems toughest test to date.

Jds was a small fVorite when they were supposed to fight before. Seems about right to me. Might even be a bigger fav since reem may not be roided fully.

No Mercy, you throw out numbers like video game stats. It's not a video game.

Reem is a VERY well rounded and experienced fighter, we have to assume he'd own JDS on the ground. You'd be forgiven for assuming he can handle JDS on the feet too, but I don't see him matching up too well.

Reem will cover up and throw massive power punches like he always does, these will be evaded. At least I'll be surprised if one lands clean, Junior is so much more mobile. Next step for Reem, push forward looking to clinch, throwing knees when close enough. This will be his downfall IMO, JDS strikes well moving backwards and Reem won't have the footing to counter or evade very well. So he won't get the clinch, and in turn won't get the fight to the ground.

I think Reem will be the aggressor to begin with but I don't think he'll get much offense going. He can definitely make a fight out of it but I think he'll get picked apart and, despite his K-1 accolades, hurt within two rounds while chasing JDS.

I can't remember what our bet was but I assume it is still on?

Reem will need to be very accurate with his power punches to drop JDS, as where all JDS needs is a stiff jab and he can put reem on his ass.. JDS is just faster more agile and has a better chin.. overeem is going to be telegraphing power punches and all its gonna take from JDS is a quick slip and rip and overeem will be out cold.. reem is highly overrated.
