Yes. By 'this division' I was implying with respect to the UFC.

I agree the UFC needs to start bringing in the talent. Starting with Mongoose.

I wouldn't go that far. Sure there are some more guys that they can and will eventually bring over.

But what more can the UFC really do? Urushitani was a top 125er they brought him over he got steam rolled. Ian McCall was the top 125er, they brought him over, he was beat. Da Silva was brought over as the #1 Fly in the world till Ian beat him and he was beaten by a UFC TUF star.

UFC has the best 4 Flys in the world. Dodson, Might, Joe B, and McCall. They brought over top ranked flys from other organizations and they lost. They are trying to bring the best guys over.

You don't think McCall proved he was legit? IMO he beat Mouse the 1st time around and losing to Mouse in a rematch is nothing to be ashamed of. IMO McCall would beat Mouse if they fought again and I still think he is at the very least the 2nd best Fly in the World right now. I think he would beat Joe and Dodson. I think Mongoose could possibly do the same. I think Forminga is still improving, he use to be a pure ground fighter. I think it's possible he could turn into the #1 Fly again. Ian McCall had a bad fight in his 2nd matchup and alot of that had to do with Mouses game plan. But it's very clear he has what it takes to hang with Mouse.

I didn't mean he wasn't. He is the only who proved to be out of him De Silva and Urushitani were basically 2 of the top 3 Flys a year ago and they lost. McCall is proven he can hang, but again he lost.

My point is they have brought in all the "top" guys. The former long time #1s. They have the 4 best Flys in the world. Probably best 5 if you throw Forminga in there. So they have done what they can do.

They could promote it more sure. But as far as talent? They have everyone they can get.

Disagree. I know Montague lost to McCall a little over a year ago but he is still a young fighter that is improving. He looked great in his 2 fights since then and no doubt about it he is a top 10 and working his way toward the top 5 right now. There are some guys over in TPF and Japan still. Even some of the 115lbs guys can come in and add depth.

The UFC isn't ready to expand the division as deep as the others. It is still extremely new to the UFC.

Bottom line is they have all the top 5 flyweights in the world. 115s aren't going to come in and do anything when 135ers are dropping. Japan fighters really aren't good anymore, they rack up wins over on that circuit, get built up...then flop in the UFC. I can't think of 1 Japanese circuit fighter who has translated well to the UFC recently.

Like I said, sure they can go out and accumulate MORE fighters, but they have the best right now. They have went out and signed the divisions #1 fly a few times already. But they already had the best flys in teh world...they were just in the 135 division.

It will grow slowly just like 135 and 145. It isn't plausible that they just go out and sign the best 20 flys in the world all at once. Many of those guys don't want to come to the UFC. Many Japanese fighters want to stay on that circuit and be an elite fighter there than an average UFC talent. When fighters separate themselves from other the UFC will snatch them up when they can.

Awww man I just hate it when people group people together like that. I bet Crusher would come in and be a top 3 FW in the UFC right away. IMO Soo Chul Kim at 20 years old is maybe the best BW prospect in the World right now. He would wreck a good % of the UFC roster right now. That kid just keeps getting better and better and is unusually strong compared to most Asian fighters. Saying those 115lbs couldn't use speed, technique and pace to do something similar to what Mouse did at BW is crazy as well. The top level 115lbs guys are great fighters and often times fight 125ers. These guys are better then most guys sporting those magic 3 letters on their gloves.

I'm n0t very familiar with these 115er you speak of, so I guess I can't say.

This 20 year old kid with a 7-4 record you speak of has no place in the UFC. He is 20 years old. No need to rush him over right this second.

Joe B and Mighty came from fighting Cruz and other very good 135ers and fighting them well. You think Asian circuit 115's would give them a good run? Interesting. Maybe they are that good, I guess I don't know.

But from my experience Asian highly touted fighters are junk. It isn't about being in the UFC. Hioki was he 2nd best 145er in the world based on rank. Because he tooled a lot of irrelevant fighters in Sengoku. He came to the States and was pretty much beat by George Roop, ended up winning by split. He tooled Bart and then laost to Lamas. He isn't terrible, but he is no where near the 2nd best FW. There aren't many instances of Asian circuit fighters coming to the UFC and doing just as well. It is sort of just a fact.

Either way they are assembling talent at that weight as fast as they can. They went right out and signed the best 3 ranked flys outside of the UFC. Most of the 115ers I bet want no part of the UFC. Many are fine with fighting where they are comfortable and a style of opponents that they know .
