Franklin Vs Le Fighter Salaries, Bonus, Attendance & Gate
Quote:
Before we go any further, we should note that international events generally don't release fighter pay info, so none of the following salary data for the event is official. However, you can get a fairly accurate picture of a fighter's pay based on official purse info released from past fights. So, based on that info, here is the estimated pay breakdown for the18 fighters that traded blows at the event (but please remember - this is only an estimate, not official info, especially for any fighters that made their UFC debuts at the event).

Wow at Urushitani's base pay. When he was brought in, wasn't he ranked the number 3 flyweight? He probably would have made more money in Shooto.

Lighter weight classes = paid less.
I think Faber has fought for a title 2-3[?] times now and makes less than Tim Boetsch.

Surprised Franklin got half what Le was getting, I guess it means a major boost in your pay if you go 3 full rounds with the elite fighter known as Patrick Cote. Le earnt it with his sterling 1-1 run before this fight.

Here are the UFC 147 salaries where Rich Franklin beat Wanderlei Silva in a unanimous decision.
Quote:
Wanderlei Silva: $265,000 ($200,000 to show, $65,000 Fight of the Night bonus)
Rich Franklin: $215,000 ($75,000 to show, $75,000 win bonus, $65,000 Fight of the Night bonus)
|
So Rich Franklin signed a contract where he makes 75k to show and 75k to win.
He probably signed a 6 fight contract so its possible he signed this contract in 2009. Which would make the numbers completely fair.
"EDIT"
Doing a bit of research i found out that i am correct in my guess.
Rich Franklin signed a 6 fight contract in 2009 and his first fight was at UFC 103. Which would make Cung Le his fifth fight on his contract and he has 1 fight to go. Making a potential 150k pay day in 2009 was alot. Hell its alot now.

Don't forget that none of the pay figures were actually released and this is all based on speculation. Didn't expect Le to make that much though.
