His kicks and reaction time to the pad positioning look somewhat a bit slow. It might just be the video quality that gives that impression, but somehow the kicks from the guy holding the pads look faster. Or maybe it's already been a long pad session and he doesn't go 100% speed anymore.

He's not really a MT striker. He comes from Karate and TK. Plus these are new training partners. Hard to get that familiar with the routine and pad work that quick.

I know where he comes from, but his background shouldn't make him slower. But as I said, maybe there is just something wrong with the video quality and it gives a false impression. If it's really an issue with familiarization, he should really quickly sort that out as there is not that much time left till fight night

he looked bigger to me too. When he was playing hockey on the preview show his arms looked substantially larger than before. He did state he was training gymnastics before his knee injury and most male gymnasts are absolutely jacked, the reason he was slow is probably because the combos of mua thai are very different than in karate and boxing so getting the timing of the combos requires a lot of practice.
