The same thing Sean Sherk, Joe Riggs, and Diego Sanchez did. I understand these fights were years ago, and believe you-me... no one roots for Nick Diaz more than I do. But we can't pretend the blueprint for beating him isn't out there. If someone like Joe Riggs can control Nick Diaz, I've little doubt GSP can do the same.

BJ Penn has a better top game than Sean Sherk, Joe Riggs and Diego Sanchez and is the most recent fight to go off, so it makes sense to evaluate Diaz' bottom game from that fight.

BJ is a much better grappler than all of the fighters you listed and he had nothing for Diaz on the ground, that's my point.

Also, Sherk didn't out grapple Diaz in their fight, he was badly out grappled and actually out wrestled through the fight and won the fight through narrowly out boxing Diaz on the feet, lulz. How times change.

I tend to think BJ phoned that fight in. Not to take anything away from Nick, but BJ sells himself short and fights half assed as a result. Either way, you don't need to sell me on Diaz vs. St. Pierre. That's another fight I've wanted to see for years. Though I have my doubts it will happen.

low-level desperation trolling. A Sonnen Diaz is not.

He has nothing for GSP. I'd love to see the fight though, if he can earn a shot, at least.
