Ime the biggest Anderson Silva fan ever and I've been rooting for Gsp vs Silva for years, but I hope Hendricks is next. I think Hendricks is the next WW champion without a doubt, I think he has all the tools to beat Gsp and that's the fight I now wanna see. Anyone else want this more now?.

I would of said the same this time yesterday, but then I seen Hendricks impress me again last night. I don't think the UFC should push Hendricks aside.

I've wanted the superfight as much as the other guy but at this point, i gotta agree with the OP. Hendricks has earned it and poses a legit threat to GSP, even if it's only his left hook.

I get that Hendricks has had a fantastic run and I agree he absolutely deserves his shot. However, people have been clamouring for Silva vs GSP for ages now. If it doesn't happen now, we might never get to see it. Silva is going to retire soon, and I really want to see him fight both GSP and Jones before his career comes to an end. Hendricks is only 29, GSP is only 30, they still have plenty of time left in this sport. We will get to see Hendricks vs GSP no matter what, but the same can't be said for GSP vs Silva.

Hendricks no doubt poses the biggest challenge all around even with one shot. Kampmann's biggest threat may have been the ground submissions. I wonder what kind of a plan Freddy Roach will design for GSP.

I don't think GSP wants the Anderson fight sadly. He does not see the upsides even with the UFC putting $5million on the table. He already signed huge sponsorship deals, therefore money is not an issue anymore.

He knows what/who he is facing. The chosen one is no ordinary opponent.

It's like Hector going into battle against Achilles knowing he may not make it back home. That's the feeling I get.

I'm extremely curious as to hear what each of his trainers say about it.

btw: Anybody know who that big white bald trainer is; not Danaher.

The thing that scares me about the Hendricks fight is that GSP imo is the overall better fighter BUT Hendricks might be the one guy he cant beat.

I say this only because GSP fights tend to go 25min and that is alot of time for someone like Hendricks to land a good punch. And Hendricks punching as hard as he does doesnt even need to rely on a haymaker to get enough KO power. And if GSP does get hit he probably wont recover.

It will also be a super boring fight since GSP is going to try and take it down at all costs imo.


But tbh **** have i know. I might be completely wrong and GSP could employ a jabbing gameplan and get the win. Or he might submit him. Who knows...

Its just a fight that scares me. I dont want Hendricks to be champion since i just dont see him ruling the division.

But that obviously does not matter... if he deserves a shot then he deserves a shot.

I too want GSP vs Hendricks. Hendricks has earned it no doubt, and Silva vs GSP doesn't really interest me. WW is stacked right now.

Yeah I think GSP has his next three title shots clearly lined up... Hendricks/Maia/Macdonald. I have no interest now in seeing Silva/GSP bring on Silva/Jones, thats a true super fight.
