TUF Canada vs. Brazil
Since GSP vs. Anderson won't happen for at least half a year, how about sidelining them on TUF in Canada vs. Brazil, having them fight in the end of the season? This is not in the works, just an idea
How would Canadians and Brazilians do against each other?
GSP vs. Anderson
Ryan Jimmo vs. Machida
Nick Ring vs. Wanderlei Silva
Cote vs. Belfort
TJ Grant vs.Maia
Pierson vs. Erick Silva
Bocek vs. Tibau
Carvalho vs. Brandao
Makdessi vs. Trinaldo
Menjivar vs. Alcantara

lol, Ryan Jimmo vs. Machida and Cote vs. Belfort.
That you didn't even put Rory Macdonald in against Maia or Erik Silva shows you purposely stacked this list in Brazil's favour. Not that Canada has anywhere near the amount of fighters Brazil does to begin with.

Ryan Jimmo is a karate fighter like Machida
Cote and Belfort are both striking oriented.
I would have put Rory but I forgot about him considering he hasn't fought in the recent Canadian cards as far as I remember. Is the opinion being that the only Canadian favorite on that card would be Rory Mac?
If I wanted to make Canada look bad I would have put lesser fighters like Gagnon, Brock Jardine or Nick Denis.

Hey, I've got high hopes for Ryan Jimmo, but putting him in there with the karate master? I'd have to give Machida a clear nod. And Patrick Cote might fare better against someone like Luiz Cane. We just saw him get nearly KOed by Alessio Sakara... I can't even imagine what Belfort would do to him. I'd give Brazil the advantage on this card, in the 'big fights' at least. Keep in mind that Brazil's population is literally ten times the size of Canada's.
GSP vs. Anderson - as much as it pains me, Anderson would win. Even GSP knows this.
Ryan Jimmo vs. Machida - Machida. Jimmo is good, but this is a huge step up.
Nick Ring vs. Wanderlei Silva - With Wand's depleted chin, who knows. I'd rather see Francis Carmont take Nick Ring's place. Carmont would KO Wand.
Cote vs. Belfort - Belfort. Easily.
TJ Grant vs.Maia - Grant fights at LW and Maia at WW. Substitute Rory Mac, who would batter Maia standing.
Pierson vs. Erick Silva - Silva. I've never been high on Pierson.
Bocek vs. Tibau - Tibau, but only by size. Tibau is a bit of a punk in my estimation. Dude could make MW. He uses size to win, and not skill.
Carvalho vs. Brandao - Carvahlo. Good standup battle.
Makdessi vs. Trinaldo - Makdessi. I don't much care for him, but he fought well last night. Might not end up being such a bad fighter.
Menjivar vs. Alcantara - Menjivar. All day long.

Are you suggesting I put Canadian fighters against bad Brazlians like luiz cane (who is probably no longer part of the UFC)?
The point of this thread is not to make nationalistic statements, but to make interesting matchups that could come up with 2 of the top mma fanbases in the world, starting off by making a tuf season between Anderson and GSP.
Thanks for commenting on the matchups though.

I'm not suggesting anything. I simply said Cote would fair better against someone like Luiz Cane. I wouldn't even dub Belfort vs. Cote interesting, in that it would probably last all of ten seconds.
