I find that odd. Why would you not want GSP to fight Anderson?
Wrong.

I want to see GSP and Silva fight, ALOT.

Henderson just DESERVES the shot. Him and condit are the most deserving contenders the division has seen in a long time.

Bendo | Aldo | Cerrone | Vitor | Fedor | Cormier

Henderson?

On a serious note, if the fight with Silva isn't going to happen...Hendricks absolutely deserves the shot. However, he is going to get his face pounded in. I'd much rather see a fighter like Diaz go against GSP.

Anderson Silva
Aldo - Dos Anjos - Mayday - Weidman - Machida - Jones

don't know why so many people completely rule out hendricks. He'll be harder to get down than almost all of GSP's previous opponents and he'll hit harder than all of them, GSP will have to move for 5 rounds. Obviously GSP is the favorite but with an up and comer with the hands like Hendricks you can't say he'll get run over, GSP hasn't faced a good strong wrestler in a long long time.

GSP will have zero problem getting Hendricks to the ground. Guaranteed.

I don't have a crystal ball, but a GSP takedown is a lot like sex with Kobe Bryant. You can fight it all you want, but it's going to happen.

interesting crystal ball you have. GSP takes down the division 1 NCAA champ that had 56 consecutive wins with no problem

You know he has a bigger chance than most people give him credit for..

Prior to fighting Hendricks, Jon Fitch was only KO'd like once?

The guy has one of the quickest lead hooks I've seen in that division and its very deadly.

I done wrestled with an alligator, I done tussled with a whale;
handcuffed lightning, thrown thunder in jail;
only last week, I murdered a rock, injured a stone, hospitalized a brick;
I'm so mean I make medicine sick."

I would bet my house on it.

Phil Davis was an NCAA champ, got tooled by rashad.

Mark Munoz was an NCAA champ, got tooled by weidman.

Would bring up brock but meh, he started way too late.

Then add in guys like koshcheck, fitch, hughes, carlos, and sherk who were all accomplished wrestler and who all got tooled in the wrestling department by GSP.

Gsp and chael are just the BEST at setting up their shot. No one else even comes close to them.

Watch the condit fight again, nearly every time GSP took condit down it was right after he through a combo and condit covered up.

And there's something else people didn't notice - GSP's ability to cut off the cage. The only reason gsp was able to make condit cover up was because he cut off the cage with is footwork. How many times did diaz, "the amazing boxer", cut off the cage against condit? 2 or 3 times total the entire fight?

People just don't notice all the little things GSP does that makes him so effective and each aspect. Like the gracie breakdown on this fight - that's so methodical how he passes guards and defends submissions.

I want gsp to lose as bad as the next guy but damnit if i don't realize how great of a fighter he is. Respect is given where respect is due.

^Holy this. Talk about hitting the nail on the head.

GSP has zero wrestling credentials. None. Yet he has tooled ridiculously accomplished wrestlers.

College wrestling and MMA wrestling are two completely different sports. Hendricks definitely isn't better than GSP at MMA wrestling, or even good enough to negate it.

RIP Jordan Corder. Watch over me from above brother.

Like I said in another thread Kampmann and Ellenberger are more dangerous fights for GSP because they have more tools. I don't really think it is fair to compare Hendricks to the guys you are comparing him to though he is a better wrestler than all of them but Kos and he trashed Kos standing when he wasn't being eye gouged.

Kampmann's head movement is fine. He is good at slipping punches; it is his footwork that is terrible.

GSP didn't tool Kos the second time around or Shields wrestling and Fitch got tooled wrestling by BJ so I don't think you can act as though he is some amazing wrestler. Guys like Ellenberger and Hendricks should be able to stop most of his takedowns.
