Since Silva and Jones seem more open to the idea of a fight recently, lets ask for that matchup instead. Much more competitive, and I'm sure no one will be complaining. Can't wait.

I'm just trying to sort out irrational statements and false claims. At this point I don't think Anderson/GSP will happen. GSP already declined in my eyes. But just annoys me when people say "well Anderson won't fight Bones". Shit he won't. He has said he would. And Jones isn't sitting there asking him to a catchweight. He is sitting on the TUF set with Chael Sonnen. Bones wouldn't even do a catchweight like Anderson would do for GSP.
Now I just don't know where Anderson goes. Perhaps he will just sit out. Weidman has 9 fights and taking on Boetsch. Weidman would be a small draw Bisping is scheduled as well. Anderson was banking on GSP doing the fight because GSP basically said he would back when he was rehabing. Dana wouldn't of been scheduling and saying it will be in May if he didn't think GSP would do it.
I really hope Anderson says, ok you fight your little Hendricks fight. I will diet down and get to 170. I will then teach GSP a lesson and kick his ass anyway, AT HIS WEIGHT and take his belt. Then throw the belt out and go fight Jones or retire. I hope he gets fired up enough to try it. Because at 38 years old and doing all the dirty work and still kicking his ass would be that much sweeter.
I will hope for the Bones fight sometime next year. Bones is holding up the division fighting 185ers and doing a reality show. Hendo deserves a shot. If Machida beats Hendo he deserves a shot. Gustaf beats SHogun he desereves a shot. So we will see. Hopefully Bones/Anderson happens sometime next year. Maybe Superbowl next year would be a good date for that one.

Until GSP says no outright, than it's still a possibility. And as I said in other posts, I don't think the winner is a foregone conclusion by any means. I think it would very competitive. Or very short, lol, depending on who gets off first. Silva has shown weakness in the area of GSP's strength. GSP hasn't shown weakness vs. strikers, although he's never faced one as good as Silva. (sorta impossible unless it IS Silva) Think it has the potential to be a great fight.
On a different note, you have a better chance of seeing me in the cage vs. Silva, than a Silva Bones matchup lol. There's no way he'll risk his legacy against a younger, bigger fighter with more reach. Especially a wrestler with knockout power

Bones isn't the one holding up 205.
The only guys that accepted a fight with Jones are Hendo, Sonnen, and Vitor and Dana is being a moron and punishing Hendo for no reason and quite frankly I don't think Hendo will ever get a shot if Machida/Hendo happens.

Anderson has intertained the idea of dropping to 170, however GSP himself said he didn't want that fight (AS vs GSP) at 170 because he feels he would have a cardio advantage.
so...

Dana is a fu*king clown sometimes. In one of his last interviews he was dumb enough to say Hendo turned down the Jones fight twice. TURNED DOWN? Dude busted his knee, what did he want him to do, crawl into the ring and fight with one leg? So i agree with you.

Not everyone wants to mess with their weight and go up and go down, GSP isn't some slave he's a human being with free will he's signed to fight in the 170 lb division, that is where he is Champion and that is where he defends his belt.
There's plenty of good fights for all the Champions in their own divisions, GSP vs. Hendricks/Marquardt/Diaz are all excellent fights with some interesting factors at play.

Lyoto and pretty much every other poster on here said all there is to say. Hendricks is a WW, so I really cannot fathom how you used him as a credible example.
I myself don't really have an interest to see them fight only because Anderson is already a big MW fighter, and easily fights and destroys guys at LH. In the spirit of competition I don't really see it as a competitive fight. Jones and Silva is much more competitive and that's the fight I'd rather see.
All I have left to say is:

I think the possibility of a Silva-Bones fight is not as low as you think. Silva said he wanted the fight, Bones said he is open to the fight, Dana wants to make the fight, I'm sure Dana would try his best to make it happen. Its obvious Silva just wants the biggest money fights now. He wants GSP then Jones. He even threw Bisping out there as a potential matchup if GSP lost against Condit. I'm sure if the money is right, Silva would be willing to fight Jones. Remember how adamant Silva was on not fighting Sonnen for the 2nd time? I believe Silva is just holding out for a bigger payday.
Anyway, Jones with knockout power? Not really...
Silva's chin is good enough to take Jones's shots anyway.

Wow, you serious? Any link to that?
No freaking way GSP is gonna fight Silva if he indeed said that. GSP doesn't even want to fight Silva at his own weightclass?

The Vitor fight was whatever. Just odd that he turned down Sonnen and said he wouldn't allow Sonnen's mouth to get him a shot. Then what do ya know? He does it anyway. A MW with no fights at 205 in years, who is coming off a loss.
I'm sure he could of said no to that. As it is a disgrace to the division. But no, Bones changed his mind when he realized how much money he would make. Instead we have a reality show that will create fake beef, seeing as they both like eachother now. And we get to wait until focking April of 2013 to see this one-sided matchup.

Dude i'm a fan of GSP and I know he will lose. But that isn't the reason I don't want to see the fight. As I mentioned earlier I don't think it's a competitive fight. The same way I don't care to see GSP vs Edgar.

That is a terrible comparison and you know it, because you are trying to make a point.
GSP and ANderson are both decent sized for their weights. Frankie was always small and didn't really cut weight. he isn't even a LW, he is a FW now. So the comparison is dumb.
GSP would maul Frankie. What does Anderson throwing a straight in GSP's face or a knee to his ribs and dropping him have to do with size? GSP would give up 2-3 inches in reach.
