Honestly I think its a very situational thing. For me in a street fight it doesn't make a lot of difference, my hands can knock a big guy out as well as a small guy. But in MMA where there is grappling, wrestling and gnp, size is a huge advantage. I took BJJ lessons for 9 weeks, only thing I learned was that power beats technique a lot on the ground.
In a kickboxing match it doesn't make as big of a difference, but when it comes to ground fighting or the clinch the bigger fighter has a tremendous advantage.
