Chances of Andrei Arlovski getting back into the UFC?
Was watching some old UFC fights and made me wonder. He is only 33 years old, 3-0 and 1 NC in his last 4 fights. I personally wouldn't mind seeing him back. I don't think he would make a run for the title or anything, but he would make a good and entertaining gatekeeper, or at the very least provide entertaining fights with the lower classed heavyweights.
Thoughts on his chances on getting back and do you even want to see him back?

I do want to see him back. Decent heavyweight. I think he beats the likes of Nelson, Kongo, Struve, and other B level heavyweights. He ain't getting close to a title shot though.
If I remember correctly, Dana said Arlovski would have to beat a top heavyweight before getting back into the UFC. Not much choices outside of UFC/Strikeforce though.

In my mind, Arlovski is fighting for a contract in February against Monson. He'd be 5-0 then, everyone knows the Sylvia fight should've been a W.
Before anyone brings this up, not everyone can be a top contender and there are worse guy's on the roster.

He beat down Tim, been a solid win streak. Also he's part of GJ camp so they have some pull. All GJ needs to do is put in a word and say that he's rebuilt a new and improved the original "pitbull." If his chin was rock solid he would be an instant contender. At this point he can put on highly entertaining fights.
Arlovski vs Nelson rematch
Arlovski vs Big Foot rematch
Arlovski vs Frank Mir would be a fun one.
Arlovski vs Kongo
Arlovski vs Struve
Arlovski would unfortunately lose to Cain, JDS, Overeem, most likely Carwin and the heavy hitters.
Actually I think it's the fact he defacted to Affliction...forgot about that. Wonder if the UFC will give em a pass.

Arlvoski is in a real tough position, the UFC HW division is stacked right now they don't need him. He could sign with Bellator but that would basically be the end of his career (though he could be champion at either LHW or HW). I think if he drops down to 205 no way does the UFC not bring him in, they are desperate for light-heavyweights.

While he left on good terms, he really hasn't brought up his stock since leaving. I think there is still a 25% chance or less that he gets to come back. He needs to rattle off some highlight wins other than Sylvia who DW doesn't respect at all.

I recall someone posted a thread here recently asking to name a fighter that would benefit from one particular strength to be unstoppable.
Arlovski WITH a granite chin would be my choice. His striking has always been SO deadly, the guy is so quick for a HW.
He would be a great addition to the UFC if only he posessed the ability to take a big shot. You're fighting at HW. Anybody in that division has KO power simply because of their size.

Considering the controversial stand-up, they should have brought Arlovski in to face Roy after Carwin went down.

I really want to see Arlovski back but he reminds me of Kampmann just not quite as well rounded. He has awesome boxing but just loves getting caught.
