Why don't you ask Okami if Boetsch will ever be a top guy then.

I don't think that fight shows anything more than Boetsch can finish a fight at any time. He was getting destroyed up until that point and other than that he had the Lombard fight who hasn't beaten anyone of note ever.

Regardless, he still beat and finished Yushin Okami who is better than anyone Bisping, Vitor, and even Weidman has beat. Boetsch is a pretty tough outing for most and the people that write him off should have learned their lesson by now, Costa needed a step up but I don't think he can beat Boetsch.

Phillipou will beat Boestch. Joe Rogan will come in and say that Phillipou has a shot at Anderson Silva.
Phillipou will beat Silva and Weidman will leave Serra/Longo.

Lolz...
Boetsch was intentionally left out. He was a horrendous LHW. Fluky win against Okami especially when he get dominated for two rounds. He had no choice, but to go for broke. Fortunate favours the bold I suppose.
Lombard was a decent showing, but is that a future contender. Boetsch can get Stann. That would be KOTN. Sadly I do believe Philippou will KOem before hand.

I'd say you're wrong on this one. Vitor ran over Rich Franklin, who beat Yushin Okami. I know it's MMA math, but it works. Therefore, Vitor > Boetsch. Though that just goes without saying.
I like Tim. But he's really not that good. He's the beneficiary of some good fortune (ie. Okami's inability to finish and Lombard fighting like a moron).

I do feel for Boetsch though. If he beat Weidman he would of got a title shot or a go at the Bisping/Belfort winner. Now what? Imagine theres an upset and Boetsch loses? He'll end up going from one fight away from title shot to like 3 or 4!
