Pretty good breakdown from Nick, he was pretty accurate on GSP's gameplan for the Condit fight. Georges pressured with his boxing, specifically his jab, and then shot for a takedown and used his top control to keep Condit out of his area of expertise. I think everyone forgot how active Carlos is off of his back and how much he could do from the ground but none of that paid off against GSP when he moved into half-guard and dominated the grappling exchanges.
Nick will have a problem with St.Pierre's wrestling, period. He'll go for a ride or to, getting slammed around is something that happens to the Diaz boys a lot in their fights against wrestlers. Diaz will probably try to counter with a Kimura like he always does but he'll be put into the fence and basically held there for the last minute or so of each round in a potential GSP fight. GSP is also much too fast on his feet and has an amazing ability to control the distance in the standup.
I really don't see a way Diaz can beat GSP unless Georges makes a huge mistake and gets submitted. He's too fast to be pushed up against the fence and too strong (and too defensively solid) to get put in a bad position on the ground.
Shows you how different he acts when there isn't a camera and a microphone shoved into his face. Surprisingly well spoken and a fair assessment from Nick.
Thanks for the vid.
When it started out I thought it was a typical Nick rant, but it was a decent breakdown. Definitely sounded like Nick to me. Apparently he does have some on camera nervousness. I don't think I want to be on the highway with Nick driving though.

Here's more. This one's hilarious. (remember, this is from before the GSP-Condit fight)

I like him a lot but he needs to get off his high horse. Nick faced Condit and left the arena a broken and retired man, GSP left the arena with a belt.. All that there is to it.
Actually... there's much more to it, as Diaz clearly hypothesized in the video! You're suggesting that MMAth works and we should all know by now that it doesn't.
I like Diaz and Condit equally so I have no bias here, but it's hard to argue that Diaz would attempt more takedowns in a rematch, especially after hearing Nick talk about it so much.
Nick is right against majority of the WW division but I think he wouldnt be able to handle GSP or Maia in grappling, Wrestling and BJJ grappling respectively. If he can learn Liddell level skills in getting up from guard and TDD then he would be a champion again. Would love him to train with Joe Calzaghe because of his striking style.
