King Mo "Id whoop somebodies ass for Chael"
Quote:
“When I was sick, Chael hit me up. He was like, ‘Mo, do you need help with your medical bills? I got you.’ He hit me up. He reached out to me. He sent me a text and then he called me. Chael checked up on me when I was sick. It meant a lot to me. When bad things happen, your true friends stick around. Chael was one of them that stuck around. I’d whoop somebody’s ass for Chael. That’s how real I am about that dude. I think what he did as far as talking trash, yeah, he talked trash. He did a great job. He made Anderson [Silva] a star. Anderson was already a star, but he made Anderson a crossover star. The reason why I say that, all of Anderson’s fights were blowouts. He pushed Anderson to the limit and made Anderson show that he’s a true champion by digging deep and coming from behind to win. Everyone looked at Anderson a lot different after he beat Chael. Everyone looked at Chael a lot different. Then Chael continued to sell the fight after that fight and made the other fight bigger. I guarantee you Anderson wouldn’t do no million buys on pay-per-view without Chael.”

Iv just randomly stumbled across article. Iv never read it before so i figured id share. Everything i heard from Chael when he isnt in hype mode makes me think he is a extremely nice guy. He was going to pay for his medical bills...You must admit that is pretty cool of him whether you like him or not.
Can someone explain to me the difference between "somebody’s & somebodies"
Thank you

Every source out there I've seen really paints Chael as a genuinely nice and thoughtful guy.
He'll say what he needs to say to sell a fight, but in the end it sounds like he's one of the nicest fighters around when he's not playing the 'bad guy' role.

After the second fight I could say the stars were aligned. Hype man Chael is really something to behold. He can press buttons like no other. But outside of it, he does seem genuine...oddly enough.
I think he's smart enough to know the shelf life of every fighter. He's doing everything he can to generate as much income in his position...most likely to pay back his previous cases...lolz.
TUF season will probably spike up...pun intended. But after he gets decimated that'll be it.

I'm glad people are finally seeing that he is a nice guy and was only saying stuff to sell fights. There were only a few of us who knew this when the first fight against Silva happened.

Technically speaking, Chael is already a millionaire like any other top fighter in the UFC. His last 3 fights, he pulled in around 250K for each fight all in all. What the UFC paid him + sponsors + bonuses (all fighters get bonuses even if not KO/Submission/Fight of the Night).
I'm also sure he still has money sitting around from his real estate stint in which he sold a good bit of homes. That and his family was wealthy before he was ever a fighter. I think he just likes putting on a show and getting the attention. The money is second.

Well, you have to be loyal to your friends, at least, otherwise there's nothing left.
I like Sonnen entertaining trash talking and his stand up performance, bud got really disappointed for his trespassing toward poor children and Anderson's wife. Effective way, but not a good way to hype no fight.

Somebody's, is singular, the 's marking possesive, so "Somebody's ass", being the ass belonging to somebody.
Somebodies is simply a plural noun. The way we see family > families.
Somebodies in this case would mean like, 'oh, your a nobody, those guys, they're somebodies". As in they're people of note, they're famous.
This has been the Grammar Minute.
