Rory MacDonald: 'I will fight at middleweight at some point in my career'

Quote:

At a question-and-answer session in Montreal prior to UFC 154, welterweight contender Rory MacDonald spoke about why he has no interest in fighting teammate Georges St-Pierre, fighting BJ Penn, why he wants to fight at middleweight, what he learned from his lone UFC loss, and more

Well yeah, when you take steroids you move up rapidly in weight.

Including "Waterboy" former lightweights.

I am just shocked you would say something like that.

Are you at least going to man up and say you were wrong if/when he tests clean? I have a feeling you probably won't.

Considering he delayed the fight with the cut so that he could cycle before the testing started, no.

Ya so rapidly that he fought at 155 from 2005-2009 (16-19 years old) moved to WW before turning 20...

Like Jon "Roid-monkey" Jones, your body fills-out as you age, he has a big frame and could handle the move to 185..he's 23 remember..when it comes time for the title-shot he or GSP will be making a move...

Is this supposed to be some sort of litotes?

Yes, 3 weight classes in last then 7 years is extremely rapid. Especially considering he had little musculature at 155, even in his later fights at 19, and now he's some heavily muscled freak.

Anderson Silva started his career at welterweight and didn't move up to 185 until he was 29 years old, the normal years people start to peak physically....not in their ****ing early 20s.

Also yes Jones started his career at 205 at 18 and is now at a whopping...oh wait he's 25 now and he's still 205lbs.

Fail point.

guycanada 11-24-2012 11:16 PM

ya...rory is 170?? he is talking about the future where anything can happen? same with Jones...its the youth thinking about there future..

this b.s. about roids accusations, is ludacris...he gets popped fine..until then the hate really needs to stop, unless you are a fan of BJ and covering an excuse in case he gets whopped..which could happen Dec 8 in Seattle..
