Really? Dan Hardy isn't even close to the level of Siyar. Hell Hardy isn't even close to the level of Paulo Thiago. He is lucky to have a job right now. He is a borderline UFC fighter that could be justifiably cut at any time.

You might be right because I haven't seen any of Siyars fights. But I wouldn't just simply count Dan Hardy out. Dan Hardy is always a game opponent, and his stand-up is pretty solid. He may have more room for error as far as keeping a UFC contract goes, but if you haven't noticed, Hardy is on a 2-0 run now and is 6 - 4 in the UFC. Regardless of who he beat, to say he is a borderline UFC fighter that should be cut is nonsense.

Didn't he lose 4 straight fight? To say he is lucky to have a job with the UFC is the truth. If Lorenzo didn't have a thing for him and he wasn't one of the biggest names in the UK, he would have been cut long ago. He definitely was worthy of being cut before this 2 fight win streak.

Out of the those four straight losses, the only loss I would say that is arguably shameful is Chris Lytle because he was on his way out. But his first 2 were to GSP and Condit who just had a title fight. Then he lost to Anthony Johnson who wasn't a very good math-up for Hardy, and may be undisciplined at cutting weight, but he's a good fighter. Let's not sit here and act like he's not. So regardless of whether he should've been cut or not, he's still in the UFC and he's won his last two. There really isn't anything suggesting that that he should be cut for the UFC at this point and time.

Depends on how you define "good". I would call him OK at best. Plenty of guys outside the UFC are much better fighters. He would likely lose in the first round in this upcoming Bellator WW tourney IMO. Douglas Lima is so much better then Hardy it's not even funny. He would dominate Hardy in any and all aspects of the game.

I define good as someone who is UFC caliber, isn't a top talent, but has a lot of potential given improvement.
As far as Douglas Lima goes, he's never fought in the UFC so there really is no telling what kind of talent he would be. He lost to Matt Brown back in 2007 if that means anything...

Lima was 19 years old when he fought Matt Brown. I'm hoping he draws Daley in the 1st round cause he will wreck the shit out of Daley with ease. Matt Brown is better then Hardy anyways. IMO Lima would be a title contender in the UFC, so really it's not much of a put down to say that he is better then Hardy. But IMO Hardy is closer to Ben Saunders.

GSP also lost to Matt Serra in 2007 and we all know how a rematch would go, Lima is pretty solid, I don't quite know if he'd be a contender in the wrestler heavy UFC Welterweight division though.
Hardy is a clear UFC caliber fighter but in retrospect his win streak to get the title shot wasn't all that great he didn't go through Fitch, Alves, or Koscheck who at the time were the top guys after GSP but that's what happens when a guy cleans out the division.
