Is it a problem the TV card looks as good (or better) as PPV?
So looking at UFC on Fox on Saturday, and UFC 155 at the end of the month. The best fight (Cain/JDS) belongs to the PPV, but overall, an argument can be made that the two cards are equal, or maybe the Fox one is more appealing. Is it a problem that a free TV card is just as good as a $55 show in the same month? Is it good the TV card is so good? Or bad as a slap in the face that people are paying $55 (or going to a bar, BWW, etc to see it) for something on the same level?
I think doing Bendo/Diaz, Shogun/Gustaffson, and Penn/Rory on a Fox show is a little much. I think January is the perfect formula where you have a big name in Rampage who won't move as much money anymore, and then you have the Flyweight Title fight that nobody would really pay for anyway.
