Rory, GSP, Nick Diaz - Who looked the best?

Against BJ Penn in you opinion? I know mma math does not always work but its a common opponent between the 3.

I hate to say it but Rory gets my vote

GSP looked pretty good when BJ's corner threw in the towel.

(insert obligatory greasing joke here).

GSP did manage to stop him, but they did fight 4 rounds there...,

Yeah, because GSP was totally struggling against Penn before the incident.

Nick, and not just cause I'm a fan. Nick from the mid point of the second round on was insane against BJ, although it holds no weight into him fighting the other two.

I'd say they were all pretty damn impressive, but I'd give the nod to Rory purely because there were points in that fight where BJ looked as though he was going down or about to verbally quit. BJ took one hell of a beating from GSP and Nick, but only against Rory did he actually look in danger of being finished.

Credit to Penn for being one heck of a punching bag. But that's no way to make a living. Go home to your family and call it a career (and a good one while you still can).

tough call, but I'm going with Nick. There were parts in that fight where I could believe what I was seeing.

Nicks was better at the time because he was the first to really do that, But Rory was better....Penn looked close to quitting, but credit to him for not, body shots suck.

If only BJ would stick at LW, he wouldn't have these 3 brutal beatings on his record, or on his mind. 4 if you want to count the first GSP fight as well...

I have no idea why he's taking these fights at WW against much bigger guys, other than a quick payday. He pocketed 150k base salary against Diaz - still more than what a lot of guys are making. Either that, or he doesn't want to cut weight anymore. He came in at 168 against Rory - that tells me he didn't cut any weight for the fight. If you cut weight, you don't come in 2 pounds under -- you come right on target, or the 1 pound tolerance above weight. 168 is probably what he weighs before any cutting, so he just came to this fight "as is", against a guy who cuts nearly 30 pounds to make 170 (Rory weighs close to 200). As long as that fighter re-hydrates properly, that's a lot of weight and strength to overcome.

It's not as if the WW division is any easier than the LW division either, they are probably the 2 most stacked divisions right now.

Doesn't make sense to me - but I don't think he can take too many more of these beatings - not after his cryfest after the Diaz loss.

Who looked the best? I think Rory takes that handidly. Rory did just about whatever he wanted to. Had Rory swarmed Penn after the body shot in the second, Rory would have finished him. At one point the ref was even stepping in to stop the fight, but backed up.

Penn beat Diaz the first round. GSP looked great, but had to take the fight to the ground to ensure his victory. Rory just tooled him everywhere.

RIP Jordan Corder. Watch over me from above brother.
