Unless of course, the UFC wants to deliberately derail unwanted low draw fighters...
That's the beauty of a Koscheck fight.

Does anyone here honestly wanna see St. Pierre/Koscheck III? No you don't, not unless you downright detest Koscheck, so why not give him this fight? You can't send Rory to the bottom of the pile, he's been fighting the Che Mills and the Mike Pyle's long enough and he showed two years ago he had potential to be a star, potential he's living up to.

So if you take the two factors into account that Rory won't fight GSP and people aren't exactly banging down the walls to see a third GSP/Koscheck fight it makes a lot of sense to do MacDonald vs. Koscheck.

I get what you're saying, but this isn't the exact case here, it's not like he's in the same situation Hendricks and Ellenberger are in where they haven't fought GSP yet, Koscheck has twice and he lost both times, so this is a "top contender" they can afford to book against Rory because if he loses, well....nothing is really lost because they don't have any intention of doing GSP/Koscheck III.

Wouldn't mind seeing this fight. Rory should just go up to MW if he isn't going to fight for the belt, I'm sick of this "I won't fight so and so".. You fight, it's your job. Fight or GTFO.

Unless GSP loses to Diaz and Rory fights Diaz for the belt, what if he wins? Then what? Would GSP say I can't fight Rory and move up to MW? Shit causes to much issues, just fight and be friends later.

Rory VS Fitch V Maia winner would be good but he should really just go to MW if he doesn't want to fight Georges.
Kos should fight Matt Brown.

How does he win? Koscheck has always been a rudimentary striker at best and not long ago was getting outstruck by Matt Hughes. Macdonald just finished making a pretty good striker look silly. You could argue Kos has better wrestling but Macdonald has excellent TDD and is massive for his weight class. He wouldn't be able to bully Kos the way he did BJ but I just don't see how Kos wins the fight. His wrestling is excellent but not enough to control Macdonald enough to win a decision. He gets owned on the feet.

Well I disagree with you. Yes Bj is a good striker but he is also a light weight. I think Kos has the wrestling to win a decision, I think he can take Rory down and Fitch him.
