There was no censorship for us Brits either. What I did enjoy though was listening to the corners give advice while the Americans watched adverts/commercials.

In either case, for those of you who don't know the network gets fined for instances of vulgarity. Don't quote me on it, but it can cost the network up to $150,000 fine.

Five second delay, they've been using it ever since Janet Jackson's tits popped out at the Super Bowl.

Yep, ^^^. They do get fined if it slips out.
It did not annoy me at all, the last thing I want is my 7yr old throwing up his middle finger at school when he gets mad at someone. Its prime time TV not PPV, they have a entire different set of rules, same for all of the stations not just Fox..

I can understand FOX simply can't have vulgar language and middle fingers as part of a censorship situation, but that being said, the Diaz brothers seem like the absolute worst possible choice for network TV if that's the case.
Or sorta unrelated, but how about blood? I coulda swore I've heard Dana say bloody fights (example: Cain/Silva) were too gruesome for network TV. Would that mean if a gash opens up and blood starts pouring we just have to read about the fight results later online without watching?

To be fair, you usually can't hear Nate and he isn't as known for his hand gestures as his brother is.
While we are on the subject, did Shogun or Gus have an english speaking cornerman? They kept cutting audio out in that fight and all I could think was that they were censoring portugese or sweedish.
Edit: Just remembered the fight where Nate had the triangle and was flipping off everyone. So I guess I am wrong on that point.

Whats worse is annoying UK ESPN where it cuts out in the final fight...then when I go back to live TV Bendo is thanking god for his win. Bullshit. They have done this like 6 times. At least I was recording the show after it this time so it all recorded anyways. During Guida/Maynard and Franklin/Silva I didnt even get to watch like the last 4 rounds.

we got the finger here in the UK.
I understand swearing on primetime isn't ideal for them but let's be honest people tuning in to watch UFC are tuning in to watch professional fighting! If you can deal with that you can deal with someone giving the bird!

The idea that the act of lifting up one of your fingers is so obscene that it can't be seen is even more ridiculous than the idea that there are certain forbidden words. It's silly and I don't like it.
The UFC should at least get partial blame for thinking it was a good idea to Nathan on network TV.

I can't blame them at all, the FCC is in charge and if you don't play by the rules then you pay.
Too bad pro atheletes can't always act like pros. Therein lies the problem.
