For however long Anderson fights for, it will be a pleasure watching the king of MMA defend his throne.

you don't get tired of seeing him dominate over and over again. to me its just not exciting watching guys get a title shot then silva beating them every time instead of there being a question of what the outcome will be.

I want to watch a competition not an exhibition

The outcome maybe predictable, but the method of that outcome is the beauty of watching Anderson Silva perform in the octagon.

Will we see a fight ending front kick to the face? A move from Ong Bak? A historic come back from behind? An impersonation of Neo from the Matrix?

How any one can't get excited to watch an Anderson Silva fight is beyond me.

Anderson Silva is probably the greatest mixed martial artist of his generation. I'm not a fan of his and I've rooted against him for some time, but to say that he doesn't put on a show is utterly laughable. The guy can literally do whatever he wants in the cage and each outcome seems to be different. Either way I may not be a fan, but the guy can still destroy the best of the best and I for one think that if he can compete for another five years (assuming Anderson fights twice a year), then so be it.

Actually I do with the LHW title holder, but for "The Spider" he doesn't just win though. He comes up w/ different techniques and finishes in ways we can only imagine. So winning never gets old to me.

Leben actually got knocked out within the first two minutes.
Rich Franklin arguably the second best MW champ gets dethroned violently both times by knees and vicious combinations havn't yet seen before.
Lutter gets submitted.
Nate gets TKOed by a laser precision shot right through his guard.
Thales and Maia were both very interesting fights to me even though he didn't finish he dominated them thoroughly.

James Irvin - Seriously who catches the very first kick from an opponent then proceeds to counter and knock em out.

Griffin was probably one of the most brilliant performances of all times. Anderson landed 13-26 shots. Griffin landed 1-26 shots.

Chael Sonnen - Probably one of the most memorable fights of all time. Plus I had like two, three different bets going on and was really pretty stunned for the first five rounds. But I had faith.

Vitor - Spartan 300 kick!

Yushin - Gets his revenge after six years in emphatic fashion. The way he set up Yushin by letting him throw a wild punch, dodging it then reversed positions. Yushin had his back against the fence and it was all over.

Chael II - No more playing around.

Stephan Bonnar - Knee to the solar plexus and allowing Bonnar to engage with his back against the fence while his trainers were all yelling at em to GTFO outta there. Who would have thought.

I'm telling you man. In almost 20 years of watching this. He fights in such a special way. He sees things we're unable to see or comprehend. He probably views himself as a student master, but he fights at a grand master level. Anyone who trains or is a fan of the sport would agree. His ability to adapt instantaneously and utilize techniques that aren't otherwise used in an MMA setting; thigh kicks, karate chopping the foot/ankle while the opponent is on the ground, front kick KO, soccer sweep, make it fun to watch.

Finally, he finishes fights in the most spectacular way possible.

Despite the fact that he's the best fighter in the world, I think most people still underestimate his skill. He literally lets people hit him, he lets people impose their gameplan, he won't move or try because he's so much better than his competition.

Every fight he's in is an exhibition for him because his opponents are slow, stiff and unskilled in comparison. I'd be happy to watch him fight for 5 more years, he's the Wayne Gretzky of his sport, nobody is going to beat him at MW.

Yeah!!! Well anderson has said he wanted to fight for five more years, this makes sense...10 fight deal, he will probably fight twice a year, thats 5 years^^ seems like a plan to me

Though i doubt he will be able to remain undefeated until hes 43 =( but if anyone can do it, its the god of MMA Anderson Silva

I think its amazing man, he has no financial reasons to do this, you know how much money he can make just from his name? Especially here in Brazil! Hes doing this for the love of the game! And it seems hes starting to believe he really is the best, thats a little scary i hope he doesnt get lazy...on the plus side GSP now has 5 years to bulk up!

No. Not at all. It's an utterly foolish question to even ask. How can a fight fan get tired of seeing the most brilliant fighter in mma history fight? The man's abilities are insane. He can fight anywhere. Your strengths, his strengths... he doesn't care. All he knows is that he's going to win and he's going to do it in highlight, mildly inhuman fashion.

How can you get tired of that?

That is not dead which can eternal lie and withs strange aeons even death may die.
