When that cage door shuts, they go out there and deliver spectacular performances for the fans, why would any one not like that?
That's the way I see it. Jon Jones gets paid to beat the shit out of people in a cage, and he's damn good at that. Sure it would be nice if he was also great outside of the cage like Wandy or Rich Franklin, but what they're like outside of the cage isn't really a big deal unless they're kicking puppies for fun or something like that.

I look at fighters in much the same way I see musicians, athletes, and other such celebs. As long as their performances are good & entertaining, I don't care too much if they're douchebags in real life unless they're doing something seriously screwed up.

Does your hate know no bounds? Just accept the fact that both Diaz and Rory gave Penn a good ol' fashioned beating instead of trying to discredit Diaz at every single opportunity. They both put on stellar performances.

Does your love of Diaz know no bounds? I admitted that Diaz kicked his ass. I just happen to think Rory's performance was far more impressive. Which has nothing to do with my dislike of Diaz and everything to do with the fights themselves.

Now I will not debate Diaz with you again.

No you didn't. You haven't ever gave Diaz a single shred of credit. After the Penn fight you were whining that the fight sucked because Penn gassed and refused to give Nick any credit for his performance.

You're the one who couldn't resist trying to rip on Diaz in this thread for no reason what so ever. You're the one that brought it up.

****in' christ. I dated girls in high school who whined less than you. No I didn't like that fight. No I don't think Diaz is nearly as good as most seem to. And I don't have to give him a shred of credit for anything I don't want to.

That's all my opinion. And do you see any of the other Diaz fangirls foaming because I made a ******* joke in this thread? No? Could it be because the others saw the joke for what it was and felt no need to hammer out defensive comments in between changing tampons? Nick himself would take less offense at my comments.

Now how about you not derail another thread because someone said something about Nick Diaz without his nuts planted firmly in their mouth?

Edit: I made a comment comparing Rory and Diaz's fights with BJ. You made the next several posts about Diaz. SO you brought him up. I was talking about Rory. Logic is a bitch.

Jones is growing on me. I disliked him when he was pretending to be the ultra-moral son of a preacher man. But I can stomach him a whole lot more now that he's embracing who and what he is, and that's a sometimes cocky, boastful champion. There's nothing wrong with being proud and confident, unless you're proud and confident but refer to yourself as humble. I think people will start to warm to Jones during TUF. I expect a bromance with Sonnen that will bring the fans around on both men.

As for Rory, well... I'm not yet convinced that there's actually anything to talk about there. It was one time. One fight. In one arena. And people truly wanted BJ to be the Rocky/comeback/feel good story of the year. Until Rory receives further boos, his being a 'villain' is little more than an invention of the media/a few internet forum goers. Nothing more.

You're an angry man. You said that you gave Diaz credit for kicking Penns ass. I was just clearly pointing out that you never did.

I think both Rory and Nick's ass kickings of Penn can be appreciated. I say Rory did better only because unlike Diaz, he didn't lose the first round. But then again, I think Diaz also fought a better BJ Penn than Rory did. But watching what Diaz did to Penn after that was shocking. I was almost positive Diaz was going to come over to the UFC and be embarrassed, but damn was I wrong. No one has ever taken it to BJ in that fashion. MacDonald put on a clinic. He beat BJ absolutely everywhere. Diaz just went nuts in the second round and refused to let up. It was like watching a human being going 100 mph. Diaz just would not stop throwing and would not slow down.

So I think they can both be appreciated because it was clearly two different types of beatings.
