Great video.
GSP is a gentleman and open hearted guy. Everything he says here makes sense. From his addressing Hendricks rightful complain to the reasons he still believe Diaz is the fight that should come first. Have to respect his points.
Props also to his sincerity about not finishing fights. I have already seen other interviews where he admitted he was aware being heavily criticized for that, but he just can't finish ppl the way he wanted. It's not like he doesn't want. He is trying, but it is what it is. I feel frustrated about it as a fight fan, but I understand his reasons and limitations.
He has the greatest assets to be the extraordinary Champion he is: He is a martial artist above being a fighter, he is a commited athlete and he is humble and classy.

I would never have thought but do you guys think GSp could have samled the Mary Jane at some point in his life?
I've thought this for a while. I have seen in partying in pictures with not a drink iin his hand...and he looks more stoned than drunk.

I think he is a closet smoker. Probably indulges right after fights before he gets into real camp for his next fight.

The most pertinent part of the interview is his candid opinion of his fighting prowess. Something I've been trying to say. He's a blue collar fighter who happens to be the champion. I don't think any combatant wants to fight a protracted battle.

"I don't have the power of Rampage Jackson, the athleticism of Roy Jones, and accuracy of Anderson Silva."

It's a testament of his modesty.

GSP is just being modest. He's perhaps the most athletically gifted fighter in the UFC, and while he may not have the power of Rampage or the accuracy of Silva, I'm sure there are many whom would say, 'I don't have the wrestling of Georges St. Pierre'.

I understand what he's getting at. But GSP is world class in his own right. That's modesty more than anything else.

the only thing that really bothers me on this forum is when people get all over him for fighting safe. In his last fight he was pushing as hard as he could from the first second to the last. It's not his fault he wasn't blessed with finishing skills, but the legion of GSP haters on here that always say he's not going for the finish are insane.

Lucia Rijker can hit harder than Houston Alexander and she weighs 145 pounds.. Power comes from perfect technique.

He just has to do more than work his jab with Freddie.

That aside I really enjoyed this interview, especially the last few minutes.

I'm always hanging off of GSP's nuts. People who say he is a boring fighter because he doesn't finish fights anymore have no idea what they are talking about.

This Diaz thing on the other hand is still a sore subject with me. I can understand the reasoning behind giving Diaz a title shot but I still don't agree with it. Business wise it is a smart move but ethically....

You forget that this isn't just some brutal sport where everyones out to kill each other. Its much more like a game of physical chess.-looney liam

I don't find him boring at all either. I think his ability to dictate what happens in the fight is amazing. He is so insanely well rounded.
