Can Someone Tell me Why Diaz is Getting a Title Shot?
I'm having trouble understanding this. First he LOSES to carlos condit. Then he cries and announces retirement, and NOW he's getting a title shot? Not too mention all of the positive drug tests and flakey no-shows he's pulled off.
It's actually disrespectful too such a talented division to allow this fight.
Dana has shown some very questionable decisions as of late. First he announces he would never allow women to fight in the UFC....next thing ya know there's women fighting in the UFC. Diaz and St. Pierre combined with Jones vs. Chael seems like Dana isn't really giving fair shots, instead he's trying to sell drama filled main events similar to boxing. I'd much rather see Rory get a title shot. Dana starting to flip flop, losing some respect for him.

Nope - noone can. All there is to be said about it is, GSP didn't want Anderson, he wanted Diaz. Then Dana agreed that it was the next best thing and here we are.
It makes sense when you have dollarsigns instead of eyes though

To be fair, I've stopped caring. One way or the other, we're still seeing the best compete against each other, and those who have what it takes to make multiple title defenses or take out everyone in the top 5 will show themselves.
There are so many variables in this sport that affect a fighter's title opportunities. Accidental like injuries, and intentional like Dana White's decisions. You can't really control either of those, so there's no point worrying about it. Keep taking fights, and if you are one of those rare fighters mentioned above, you will keep winning and your chance will come.
I don't really care if the sport is viewed as legitimate by the masses or not and i'd rather Hendricks got the shot but the UFC are never going to put on a card that I wouldn't watch.
