am I the only one who misses Matt Serra?
that dude was one of the best talkers and funniest guys I've seen in the sport... And he was never in a boring fight. I just wish he could get a rematch with Hughes to get the victory he should have gotten the first time.

I miss him too, a great fighter with KO power and doesn't get nearly as much credit as he deserved. Still remember getting into MMA around the time of UFC 69, that TKO of GSP was off the hook!

He was never gonna beat Hughes, hell with the improved striking Hughes showed in his last fight he would have picked Serra apart standing. 155 Was always were Serra was great, the sport has passed him by but dam he was fun to watch.

He did start to rely on his heavy hands, worked well against Trigg but was a bad idea against Lytle.

don't get me wrong... I know he was sort of a "fluke" champion... but championships have never meant much to me... if you put on fights I like to watch, then I don't care if you win or lose, you have my support.

second time around yeah.. when Lytle fought to his strenghts. He's another one of my favorite guys to watch.

Don't think the GSP win was a fluke, Serra meant bad intention with each punch, they connected, GSP went down. But yeah, he always put on amazing fights, the Shonie fight was epic with all the sub attempts, almost KO'ing Parysian in under 30seconds, the guy was always a blast to watch.
