Every country has its traditions. It just so happens that there's amateur wrestling in the US so fighters from the US tend to have a strong wrestling base. There's vale tudo and BJJ in brazil, there's kickboxing in central Europe, there's boxing in the UK, there's greco in Eastern Europe, sambo in Russia yada-yada-yada.

Except for the fact that Cain is American despite all the hooplah. He was born in the US and raised in the US. Geez my wife grew up speaking French and she is just as Mexican as Cain.

Best HW fight was Kongo-Barry.
even the Kongo-Cain fight was better than this one.
JDS-Carwin was also better, plenty of HW were better than JDS-Cain 2.
I apologize if this was only the 2nd HW fight that you ever saw.

Cain's mom is American not Mexican. Its absurd that he represents a country one of his parents was from and that parent was so in love with the country he snuck out of it. Just saying

Mexico is a shit country, doesn't mean you can't be proud of your heritage.
I am a firm believer that the UFC are the ones that push the whole "Mexican Champ" much more than Cain ever has. Cain's dad married an American, yeah, but she was a Mexican American, she has Mexican blood too. Honestly I wouldn't be carrying the US Flag or the Mexican Flag if I was in Cain's shoes, although the Mexican flag does make him very marketable.
The whole idea of being proud of what country you come from is very strange to me.

Yeah Cruz is a Mexican American aswell, if he wants to be called Mexican then people shouldn't raise a fuss about it.
I don't get what the big deal is, nobody complains when a half black guy claims that he's black. Cain is full Mexican blood anyway.

The people that get mad that he calls himself a Mexican are the first to notice him as a Mexican in the street. If he was from Cali or Texas he would be labeled Mexican. Most non Americans don't understand this fact. He should rock both flags, but I understand why he feels he needs to represent his roots.
On topic, yeah Mexicans are known for their ferocity and hard heads and hands. Brazilians are also known for their ferocity, but also for their skill.
