It's funny how having a lot of fighting skills and credentials doesn't mean shit when it comes to the fantasy UFC paygrade.

As someone else eluded to, how can I guy like Leben, who is very one doimensional get 51000 base and Lauzon only 27000. Thankfully he lines his owns pockets by being the entertaining fighter he is.

A veteran like Varner getting payed that shit is a slap in the face.

Cain should be 200k to show 200k to win at least. He is a huge star.

The disparaging difference between top of the card and bottom of the card is what always gets me. I mean these up and comers, veterans and middle of the pack guys have to eat too.

I'm not trying to say these guys shouldn't be making more money, I want everyone to get paid and all that good stuff but this is the fight game. No one came to see Hollaway, Moraga, Cariaso, De Fries or anyone like that. In order to make money for yourself you have to make money for your company.

No doubt, I fully believe in capitalism, but when you here stories of talents like Erick Silva having to sleep in the gym after practice, you wonder what other great talents there are out there that aren't getting paid properly to possibly develop into superstars.

I think it's in the best interest of the UFC to pay these guys a decent salary.

Rarely do I believe in trickle down economics, but in this case I do. If fighters make more, trainers will demand more and that will result in them being able to take on more chances in developing young talent at their gyms.

Was Erick still living in the gym when he signed with the UFC? I remember during the countdown show for the Fitch fight he was talking about how he bought a home and a car, Fitch on the other hand has been in the UFC for years and was pretty much broke going into the Silva fight, but he had been hurt and just bought a second house.

As far as I know he wasn't, but you're missing my point.

Also I have less sympathy for Fitch because he decided to buy a second house. Reminds me of the dumbass subprimes that did the same thing and eventually led to the house of cards falling in the great U.S. n' A.

You don't know that, the only thing we can be sure of is that when fighters get paid flat rates(no win bonus) it means that they get a PPV%.
But you can't say that Andy or GSP's PPV% ratio is higher that Bones or Aldo's.

You just can not find good assassins these days!
I give this bitch a month before someone comes forth with better aim and does what must be done.
