I think Big Foot is going to come out to the center quickly to gain Octagon control thinking he will be applying pressure. As he moves forward he'll throw some feints, ducking down then try to throw a right bomb leading into a take down or clinch. It'll be blocked or sidestepped and Overeem will tie up or immediately go for a left knee to his liver to counter. Rinse repeat, recycle. Both do not throw combos. The Reem adopted this strategy so a.) he doesn't leave himself to counters and b.) his striking is powerful enough to hurt someone with only one shot (left hook, left kick, left knee all aimed at the liver) then the rest is formalities.

Big Foot will try to smother em, but he's too slow with laboured striking. If there's ever any fighter who fights in slow motion it's Big Foot and Chris Leben.

It could end in a TKO for The Reem or a UD. I see a similar fight as with Werdum, but I hope not for the fans sake. Lets hope The Reem lands cleanly for the KO and set up the match we all want to see.

1. Hopes he lands a knockout shot. Reem is knockoutable.

2. Disqualification.

3. Divine intervention.

4. Stoppage by cut. Always possible.

5. Survive the KO and hope for some kind of robbery decison.

Survive the first rd and he has a great chance to win. but really,he may only need to survive the first couple of minutes since Overeem hasn't fought in over a year. hell, he was gasping for air after the Werdum fight and he barely did anything.

And Bigfoot isn't as slow as people make out. sure he isn't fast but he has quite good handspeed and explosiveness for someone his size. Overeem isn't a whole lot faster either. if he is even faster at all.

With Big Foot aiming, I see him hitting the referee instead or his own big foot.

Hold him on the cage the way Mir did to CroCop and hope Reem gasses first and then can be taken down.

Also its worth noting we are likely to see a decline in Reem's striking due to not being at Golden Glory anymore.

Reem has a pretty weak chin, all Bigfoot has to do is land a good shot. That's probably harder than it sounds... But the guy did upset Fedor...

Upsetting Fedor was one of those situations we all knew was coming. Face it, Fedor was Santa Claus. Santa exists because we all believe in him (at some point). But eventually mma had to grow up (and drop the dream that mythical fat guys can do well vs. talented behemoths). It is hard to be a HW when you could realistically make 185 or even 170.

^Fedor still beats almost every UFC HW right now though.

I think Bigfoot would have to completley rely on his size. Overeem is very bulked, which means he won't be as naturally strong as a guy already there. Bigfoot does have the oppertunity to press him against the cage and I think I've heard that Overeem isn't the hardest to take down (although I've only really seen his UFC/Strikeforce shit). Bigfoot has some oppertunities, but it was take both amazing strategy and dicipline and a lot of luck. The fight starts with seperation, and I can see Overeem smashing him up with knees as Bigfoot tries to clinch. The biggest oppertunity is for Bigfoot to catch the kick, but his speed compaired to Cain's speed when he did that to him leaves a ridiculius amount to be desired. Really I see Overeem treating him the same way he did Brock. He'll put on the pressure, Bigfoot will look weak, and he'll finish it with body kicks and knees on the inside. Kind of a shit fight to put together because we'll still not see anything else from Overeem where a fight with say JDS would show us the full extent of his striking.

I don't know who to root for though. I like Bigfoot for some odd reason (and he won me the Grand Prix ), but I have Overeem in the FFL , and Overeem winning makes the HW title look a lot more exciting in the near future. My ideal HW situation would be Overeem beating Bigfoot, Hunt beating Struve (sorry Stef), Overeem Vs Cain and JDS Vs Hunt. Overeem winning; give him the winner of JDS/Hunt. Cain winning; if JDS wins give Nog/Werdum the title shot and have JDS Vs Overeem. If Hunt wins, give him Nog/Werdum for the #1 contenders and still have JDS/Overeem. Division is looking exciting these days, rare to see.

umm, what? If Fedor could make 170 I'll give all my savings to you. I doubt he even could make 185.

He still has Spong and Ghita to spar with, he should be okay.

Joe Silva doesn't think much of Bigfoot as a person, obviously.
