JDS needs to beat a top guy first. I think he's lucky the UFC isn't throwing Cormier at him....

JDS knows he needs to face at least one other opponent before getting his rematch, just as Cain did. The problem is, there's literally no one else in the division that JDS doesn't beat the tar out of (including Overeem, imo). I'd like to see JDS tested against another top wrestler, but there really aren't any who even come close to Cain's level of wrestling. It's pretty clear that JDS and Cain are 'the guys' when it comes to HW, especially if Cormier does go down to LHW.
Cain beats JDS. JDS beats Cain. And I don't think anyone else touches either man for some time. That might become problematic for one of the two down the line. I suppose Overeem could shake things up, though who knows what he'll look like without his magic beans. He was already slow... can't imagine him off the juice.

Winner of Reem/Bigfoot should face JDS, then the winner of Reem/Bigfoot vs JDS gets their crack at Cain. Cain has a match in the meantime with Werdum.

I could be wrong, but are JDS and Bigfoot not team mates?

Said it before and I'll say it again, Mark Hunt is an absolutely terrible stylistic match up for Dos Santos. For the love of all things decent in life, please Mark Hunt get past Struve so that the UFC can book this fight.
I'll be betting big on a Mark Hunt KO. I believe him to be the superior striker and I don't think Junior Dos Santos has any thing for Hunt on the ground.
WAR Hunt

I'd bet my house that UFC puts together Nelson/JDS II.
If they intend to do Werdum vs. Cain should the former win his next fight, then the winner of Big Foot/Overeem should face JDS in the interim. But I can say with confidence that if Overeem wins, he'll either get the next title shot with Fabricio waiting in line, or vice versa. So who fights JDS if not Big Country, the only other semi-winning HW on the roster?
I still think there's more money in Overeem vs. JDS than Overeem vs. Cain.
Edit - Completely forgot about Mark Hunt. I'd love that fight. Two hard punchers, though I suspect JDS has the better chin. I'd be sad to see one of them lose, lol.

If Hunt beats Struve, he'll be on a four fight winning streak against solid enough UFC competition. Nelson fight would be a waste.
Edit: Hunt vs Struve isn't until fecking March?! What is this sorcery?! Just scrap the damn fight and give Hunt JDS.

Dunno but if either want a shot at becoming the champ they might have to fight each other at some point. I doubt Bigfoot gets passed Reem anyhow so we'd be looking at,
Reem vs Bigfoot ----> winner is Reem
Reem vs JDS -----> winner is ??? (JDS in my opinion)
??? vs Cain

not really, well slightly...
JDS is with team Nogueira and Bigfoot with Blackhouse. They do train together on occation, but somehow the teams are seperate. Kinda like Grudge Training Center and Jackson's MMA.
That's the impression I got anyway.
