It matters to me personally as a fan. I don't have to accept the decision of incompetent judges. You know 1 judge actually scored BJ vs Edgar 1 50-45 in favor of Edgar. Just one example of why I don't take the decision to be law.
Just like I personally feel Creepy and Mouse are 1-1 and there are numerous other examples I could come up with.

It doesn't matter because it was settled. BJ got his immediate rematch and Edgar won convincingly. He showed he is the better fighter. It's not like that's how Edgar ran off with the belt and now we will never know.

1st fight controversial? Fine.
2nd fight? Edgar showed everyone who the champ was.

EDIT: We are getting off topic here. Back to the subject at hand.

I agree that Frankie convincingly winning the 2nd fight does take away some of the sting. Not all of it since the 1st fight on it's own was still scored incorrectly IMO.
But it helps when the guy who got the controversial decision wins convincingly. Makes a little more complicated in situations like Shogun-Machida where the guy that "lost" got the convincing win.
Makes it even more messed up when I get a situation like Frankie-Bendo. IMO Frankie clearly lost a non controversial decision and did not deserve a rematch. However I felt he won the rematch in a much closer fight. So he won a fight he didn't deserve? How do I process that? LOL OK, I'll drop that topic for now. Sorry for going on. Forgive me for the annoyance.

Not sure I want to see it go that way I do not want to see a finesse fight.... Aldo is a more entertaining fighter to watch IMHO

Aldo is faaarrrr more entertaining that's for sure. I hate Frankie more and more everytime I see him fight. His "movement" fighting is not what I think this sport should be about. Non productive activity should not score you the kind of brownie points that it seems to for Frankie.

Frankie's main appeal is that Maynard nearly KOed him. It showed Frankie's heart and determination to win and that's what's so likeable about the guy. If not for those fights, I'd probably hate him and think he's boring, but when watching him I never really think it, I just think of the never say die warrior and hope he wins almost ever fight he's in. I'm a big Aldo fan, and know Aldo is very entertaining, but somehow want Edgar to win, and I usually side with the more exciting.
