Seems like Mousasi is keeping the drop card in his back pocket

That's a really big fight(Anderson Silva), so if I were offered a fight like that, I would go down in weight for it. I know there are a lot of other guys that are in line for him, so I'm just going to stay at 205 for now. If I'm not succeeding at 205, then I'll drop, but at this moment, I feel great at 205.
Source is BE.

Kind of a smart move I guess. When a high profile fighter drops weight classes he seems to be ranked favorably. Especially since he has fought at that weight before. It allows the fighter to lose and still remain "in the mix" when he drops down. Still, it just seems like Mousasi would be able to maximize his abilities if he got into the right camp and competed at MW.

I see Mousasi dropping then, I like him but 205 and 170 are about the worst place to go if you're a striker, 'Shad, Phil, and Bader would all probably keep him from Jones and of course Jones would probably hurt him.

He might be able to beat Anderson though.
