Hey Frankie, instead of being a points fighter, why not actually take a few risks in your fights and actually go for the kill and turn up the heat instead of having your title fights going to close decisions or even draws. However, Aldo is the most dangerous guy he has faced, finishing wise, so I think he is going to be even more exagrated with his stick and move offense.

Frankie is also the best fighter Aldo has ever fought, and if his performance against Florian is any indication Frankie's gonna take this. |

Karma could really come into play again with the Aldo fight. By now, Frankie should have clearly learned that if he really wants to secure DOMINANT victories, he needs to turn it up a notch, increase his aggression and look for the finish more. If he comes into the Aldo fight not learning from his previous mistakes in championship fights, this time he might end up getting brutally knocked out instead of losing a controversial split decision. What's it going to be Frankie? You can either turn up as your usual point-fighting self and look to eek out a close decision victory over Aldo, or from the very opening bell, you can take the damn fight to him and try to whoop his ass and earn a truly dominant victory.

I don't put any stock into an award given by the promotion which the fighter is signed to. This has too much bias and politics involved, awards are suppsoed to be given by an independent third party.

In a year that saw a lot of injured fighters and very few champions fighting, Aldo, GSP, Anderson, Jones and Cruz all were pretty inactive, Benson had three title fights and never sat out, can't say I blame them.
