You should take your own advice. Diaz would be relevant if he could actually beat guys like GSP.

I agree. I remember a time when GSP was exciting to watch and really used to be one of my favorite fighters. Nick has always been exciting to watch and still is to this day.

Wrong answer. This is the UFC, and if you watch the UFC you root for the fighter with the personality you can relate to the most shown through very brief snippets of the media. Forget actually supporting the fighters that go out there and put on ridiculously exciting fights, this is a personality contest.

I know you are being sarcastic, but you just painted a very accurate picture of the show. That's so true. Personalities (fragments we can see, correct) will indeed play a major role on who to root for. Being a fight show, it's a true paradox when you don't root for the one who brings better shows in the cage, but the example I can think to explain this phenomenon is this: Even admiring the skills of the senior wrestler of your school you will easily root against him, even if he is defending the colors of your school, if he happens to bully you or one of your friends or is hitting on your girl. It doesn't need to go that far, but basically, if you have your reasons to dislike someone, you root against him.
Now if even displeased by the result you can't aknowledge and appreciate the skills and superiority of the winner, that's hate.

WTF will Nick do to Silva? Take him down? Please... Outstrike Silva? LOL. He doesn't even have the 1 punch knock out to even win it by a fluke. His boxing is also EXTREMELY OVERRATED, it's effective because of his range and cardio.

He will not have the range advantage, his defensive boxing is TERRIBLE so Silva will pepper him with strikes while clowning around, in fact he'll get embarrassed even more than Forrest did because at least Forrest had size and random strike could have put Silva in trouble.

So why should there be a super fight where Nick will get absolutely destroyed? Seriously, instead of dodging the question answer why you feel that would be a good fight. Your logic regarding champ vs champ makes no sense. So what? All champs should fight each other in a catch weight? UFC makes fight based on what they feel will be exciting, Nick vs Silva will be anything but that.
Todd differ vs Tim Hague was exciting just short

Because this is my thread. Go make your own if you want to ask questions or PM me if you want me to answer specifics.

But again, this is the UFC, and as I've said many times in the past, in this organisation deserves' simply got nothing to do with it.
Say Diaz catches GSP in a Round 3 submission after losing the first three, but having a good combination or two on the feet every time before being taken down. You think Diaz would be worthy of a shot at Anderson being the Welterweight Champion, beating one of the greatest of all time and finishing the fight?

The OP put a question out there for you to answer. And it was not "Can Diaz beat GSP" it was "IF Diaz beats GSP..."

So either make that assumption or find a different thread to post in. Derailing threads (or at least attemting to do so) is not accepted around here.
