If he beats GSP, I don't think he deserves an immediate "super fight", but if he beats GSP, Hendricks, Rory, Condit, and maybe some other WW's, then MAYBE he'll deserve to be considered for a superfight.

Correct.

The reason GSP/Silva is a "superfight" isn't that they are both champions of their respective divisions- that's just part of the cachet- it's that they are the alpha-dog dominant champions of their divisions, who haven't lost (in MMA terms) in forever.

It's that rarity.

Diaz is a good fighter, and if he gets by GSP, his stock will rise.
However, he would have to go on one helluva tear afterwards for a fight between AS and him to be rationally dubbed "superfight".

People considered Frankie/Aldo a superfight before it got put together. People considered Brock/Fedor a superfight aswell. I think just because we've added Diaz into the mix, everyone's opinions are changing.

Diaz beats GSP only if you believe he can, I don't happen to fall into this category of people who believe he can and his name certainly shouldn't be tossed around anywhere near a super fight. Diaz is quite a few tiers below legit fighters (cream of the crop title holders) who are actually worthy to be included in a very rare category of MMA super fights.
