It is Sonnen. Who claims he is only after titles...and his fans think if/when he loses this he will retire into commentary anyway. Why wouldn't he step up then?

Sonnen stepped up then. Was Hendo able to step up injured? Hendo is now not injured and Bones had his little replacement fight. So why did Hendo get pushed back in favor of Sonnen?

The only answer is TUF ratings.

I agree with your addition to Diaz situation. GSP wanted him. But it is also because he sells. UFC wouldn't honor GSP's choice if it were Jon Fitch. If GSP said he wanted Fitch or DHK you can't tell me they would say "ok". It is also because he sells. In he back of their mind the UFC certainly would rather see Diaz get it over Hendricks. They were crushed when Condit "won" that fight. I don't believe for one second that the UFC wasn't thinking Diaz all along. GSP's "want" for Diaz was just a perfect situation to explain why they are doing it. If it was up to the UFC tthey would have gave it to Diaz. But since he "lost" and is coming off suspension they didn't want to do it for PR purposes. GSP says he wants him it is a perfect justification to make that fight. Diaz has gotten these 2nd chances because he sells and is an interesting guy one way or another.

I'm pretty happy that Xonnen got a shot at Jones.
I'm really looking forward to see the beating that Jones is gonna handle him.

I really hope Jon Jones doesn't lose... it's going to be really embarassing to have Sonnen as the LHW Champion. Anyways he wouldn't last long... Machida will kick his head into orbit.
