Beating Costa means nothing...he should fight Okami if you ask me. If wins, then he's top 5, then he can face one of the top guys.

I think Costa is a start, but should have to fight Okami/Lombard or Weidman for a title contender
I say the winner of Okami/Lombard because Lombard is on the rise, and will be in the title picture if he beats Okami. But if Okami beats Lombard then Rockhold should test himself against Okami because Okami is a tough guy for everyone in the division, though he will never beat Anderson

He mentions fighting Bisping and he says he wants to knock him out, but it really is only because of the fact that there is no way he gets matched up with him. If Bisping wins, he fights Silva, if he loses, well they won't match Luke up with a guy coming off of a loss. It's like a bully pretending to be tough while hiding behind his gang.
Then he mentions Belfort, but there is nothing about fighting him, if he wins. This is the most logical fight there is and it could be for the NR. 1 contender status. But noo, let's go with Philippou..
And then the Weidman thing? Of course he doesn't want to take that risk of waiting for Weidman to fight Silva. Silva fight = big money for Luke, Weidman = not so much.
Guy is just a clown, pure and simple.

I'm sensing an awful hate-on for Rockhold. It seems to be clouding your judgement, not only of Luke, also of Costa. He's hardly the worst ranked middleweight at the moment. He has been solid in his last few outings. A fight between these two would be a great determiner of who gets the next contenders fight.

But don't you agree that Costa is the easiest fight for him? Philippou is mainly a stand-up guy with no particular skills on the ground, and his TDD isn't anything special either. Rockhold will come in, take him down, keep him there for 3 rounds, that's it. I'm thinking that, if Belfort wins in an impressive fassion, Luke and him could fight for NR 1. contenders spot.

Rockhold will be looking to keep the fight on the feet.

May I ask why do you think that way? His stand up isn't the worst, but it's not even close to Costa's level.
