Yasuhiro Urishitani is more than a mediocre fighter. He's had round luck in his UFC fights, but his last loss wasn't him being demolished or anything, it was a close fight

no shock about Griggs. I knew he wouldn't make it just based on how easily Travis Browne put him down. Browne made him look like an amateur.

No, not Yasuhiro! WHy cut Flyweights when its curently the 2nd shallowest division in the UFC? (Womens 135 is 1st) They should keep them around for a while longer, also Yasuhiro didnt exactly perform badly, and looked alright, should have at least another chance.

Make me wonder if pay was an issue? They could have wanted him to re-negotiate and he might be able to make more in Japan right now. Just thinking out loud.

Sounds reasonable to me. They probably did try to keep him but if you can make the same(or more) money and fight closer to home. Many would even if its not in the top organization.

Also Marcus was already scheduled for a fight they just swapped him in so the short notice thing really isn't a factor.
Yeah, but the other guy was also in a training camp for another fight and he seems to be top. Probably a contender given a couple of fights.

McCall, Faber, Aldo, Nate, Nick, Lyoto, TBD, Hunt
Forever hanging in Anderson Silva nuts

Well considering they were only paying him like 6k a fight I don't think they cut him because he was being paid too much

Urishitani is still a top 10 flyweight, why in the world would they cut him?
