Training has been awesome thanks bro, good sparring partners, nobody acts like a bully. Great atmosphere around the gym, but I am having second thoughts about fighting here and not at home, A guy who was here last week got matched up for his first fight against a Russian guy who was 15lbs heavier than him, he fought anyway and got brutally knocked out. Later they found out that his opponent has 86 wins. His jaw is now wired shut and he went home the very next day .. That's the second case i've heard of this from guys from my gym since i've been here.

The other situation is you get matched up with guys who don't care about winning and are only going to take a dive for the paycheck. I might just use this as an avenue for excellent training and come home and fight where I know things will be legitimate.

Anderson Silva embodies Bruce Lee (watch the documentary "Like Water"). He is the real "Bruce Leeroy" of MMA.

Even though Cung Le is not the number 1 contender, he did knockout the former champion Rich Franklin in his last visit to China

I believe this would be an exciting striking match.
I also think Anderson has the edge both striking and grappling. He stated he's interested in superfights rather then just defending his title.

I think this is the most appropriate match for China.
For anybody interested, please tweet Dana White.
Anderson will fight Bisping (if he beats Belfort) in Brazil in a planned show in May or June,

If Bisping loses, then expect Silva to fight Weidman or even Belfort. Cing Le needs to beat an Okami, Bisping, Belfort, or Weidman before getting handled by Silva

Overseas shows are difficult because of the time difference, since North Americans are the only ones that support the PPV model.

Ufc Events Attended:

Ufc Fight Night: Davis Vs Nogueira, Ufc 131, Ufc 143, Ufc 148, Ufc on Fox 5, Ufc 156, Ufc on Fox 8

Cung Le's Vietnamese. Not sure why he would be such a big draw for the Chinese.

Gustafsson headlined the Swedish card and that was the draw for that event.

I know, but I was giving an example of what could happen in the future.

I live here, I know those guys would be draws.

Silva vs Le is a match-up for the fans.

These are two of the most (if not THE most) dynamic strikers in the history of the UFC and what a treat it would be. I think it's a fight Silva (and Cung) would enjoy and I would love to see it.

Cung isn't a hack, but he is pretty old. But so is Silva.

Should it be in China? Meh.

Dream fight for me though.

Damn that sucks. He should have a souvenir shirt that says I trained in Thailand, all I got was a lousy shirt and a broken jaw. =/

Due diligent in research should be done usually by the trainers. They'll know if you're ready. I'm sure you've seen the fighters in the gym. The difference between recreational, amateurs, and experienced fighters is astronomical.

btw: You should get health insurance. All kinds of injuries happen even in sparring.

PS: Did you try the Thai Ice tea yet. It's refreshing...

Even though the trainers are nice guys it's all about money here, so if the gym can make some cash putting in a figher to a card then they will do it. They don't actually care that much about your well being, my coach at home does.

I wanted travel insurance but they don't cover fighters and I don't have health insurance (something I should look into, the hospitals here are good and I haven't sparred with any maniacs yet.

Today is my day off so i'll try it
