I have always been impressed with Lentz even from his 155 tenure. I always felt Lentz took the criticism personal from the Winner/Griffin fights which is why he went for it against Lowe, Oliviera, Dunham & Bocek. However I'll be honest it was probably a error on his part to fight like that as he went from 5-0 to going 0-2-1 in his last three fights at 155. But since dropping to 145 he has looked better then ever and he will definitely be a contender very soon.

GSP has been more dominant with his wrestling than Koscheck, even if Kos has better credentials on paper. Like Kos, Mendes is a more decorated pure wrestler but I think Lentz and Bermudez would out-wrestle Mendes in mma.

They've shown more dominance and overwhelming control than Mendes ever has.

Yes and no. Nunes is a tough dude, but the fight pretty much went as I expected it to. I just wish I had went with my gut and laid some money down on Lentz who was a fairly heavy underdog going in.

His wrestling and top game are very, very good. He's going to smother most guys at 145. But his standup game leaves A LOT to be desired. It seemed like any time the fight was standing, a totally gassed Nunes had him in trouble.

Like others have said, he's basically the Fitch of 145. That's exactly who he is, except with less of a chin. He'll work his way near the top of the division, but I can't ever see him being a serious contender. Imagine him against Frankie? No way.
