If Cote and Leites can fight Anderson so can Weidman, just stick a big fight underneath it like they did when he fought Leites.

Just put a decent card together like they should do everytime and there shouldn't be a problem.

Maia. I'm just saying that the average potential Silva PPV buyer will not have a CLUE who Weidman is. I even forgot about his Maia fight until the other day, and nobody gets Fuel TV as is. And it's not like people would remember his name from the Maia fight as I think it was the first one on the show and a decision.

Some people just can't accept that outside of the hardcore MMA community, right now, nobody knows who Wediman is.

Maia is at welterweight...

I've been thinking about Rashad as well another stylistic nightmare for Anderson.

It's gonna be really strange if Weidman gets a Title fight coming back from injury after being out for over a year.

So you saw him fight 1 time and you already know he will get knocked out quickly by Anderson. Good to know your opinion is an educated one.

And people knew who Leites was? Leites would have never even got a title shot if Marquardt hadn't been docked points in their fight. They put Shogun/Liddell on that card and it sold just fine.

These marketability reasons are stupid, people act like a PPV is one card, people will buy stacked cards and Silva/Weidman would need to be stacked because Weidman isn't the most well known guy but he is the biggest threat to Anderson at 185, everyone would win out. Good card with an interesting main event.

I agree the marketability thing is dumb. But what is much, much worse is someone saying "I hope they make Weidman-Silva so Weidman can get knocked out quickly and become irrelevant like he is to casual fans". He is talking about Weidman not being talented enough to challenge for the title. When asked how many times he has seen Weidman fight to base this off of? The answer? "I saw him fight Maia"...

Life B Ez, when I said "Maia", I meant Weidman's fight against Maia, not the possibility of Silva vs. Maia lol.

When I say Silva knocking Weidman out quickly, it's not really a knock on Weidman. It's more praising how incredible Silva is and that him KO'ing his opponent is a likely scenario given his track record. That would be like me berating someone's Super Bowl prediction if they only saw a couple Ravens games this year.

So you are saying that it doesn't matter who Anderson is fighting, they are getting knocked out quickly? That the skill of the opponent is not a factor in the equation since Spider is that much better then everyone. You don't have to see it, you just know...
