OK so you can cancel out Munoz and Mayhem since they both looked like crap. So we have a big name who can draw and has beaten Stann, Akiyama, Leben and Hamill vs a no-namer on a year-long layoff who has beaten Maia. If fighter A didn't get a title shot, how can you possibly justify fighter B getting a title shot?

Like I said, I am not defending Weidman getting a shot, but everyone you listed as a good win for Bisping really aren't good wins outside of Stann and even that isn't a top win. Akiyama has been crap in the UFC, Leben hasn't been a good MW in years, and Hamill has always just been a middle of the road fighter.

You are saying Weidman doesn't have good MW wins, and then backing it up with Bisping's less than stellar wins.

It would be interesting if Gegard were fighting in this weight class. He is still at 205 as far as I know.

He's still at 205. But Silva keeps talking about how he wants mega fights. Surely Mousasi is more of a mega-fight than Rockhold or Weidman?

Also, thats the same guy who fought to a draw with Jardine. Mousasis seems talented, but he hasnt really faced the steepest competition recently.

If the Moose loses to the Goose then he'll likely drop, but he won't get an immediate title shot if Rashad wasn't going to get one.

Fighter A would have gotten several title shots he just failed to win his title eliminators (Henderson, Silva, Sonnen, Belfort). Also did you see Sakara and Lawlor's last fights? There's a reason those guys aren't cut and Miller and Rivera were. If Bisping won five fights in a row he would have gotten a shot, he didn't. Even when he gets spotted two/three cans he still never hit that big winning streak to merit his title fight.

Now when Chris Weidman taps to strikes or gets point deductions or loses a fight you can talk about how unfairly hyped he was over Bisping.

P.S. Are you actually claiming Bisping's win over Hamill was a "good win" because unless you are the most biased person to ever post on the internet it was a loss and a robbery.

The only reason Mousasi/Jardine was a draw was because of point deductions.
