Whats so rude? That I say they are living in a world of delusion? Where they think they make the rules of the UFC or know how the UFC should be ran? When it has become one of the faster growing businesses in the nation over the last handful of years? Is that not delusion? Lets get some thicker skin.

We have had what? 10 multiple page threads on this subject for months? Where are all the Chael/Bones threads calling it such a shame and how the UFC isn't credible. When a guy who wasn't even in the same weight class coming off a loss got a title shot.

We've heard the opinions for months. Hendricks cried for a while. He has gotten over it. Yet people still cry. Nothing new is ever said.

Calling somebody delusional for voicing their opinion, an opinion that has been echoed many time before is rude.

If you dont like the multiple page threads on the same subjects, nobody is forcing you to read them. The title alone of this thread should have told you it was gonna be full of the same old stuff we've been reading for months. You should have just avoided it rather than come in just to have a pop at another member.

Fair enough.

I would expect everyone crying about this for months won't watch it. Everyone says how non-credible the UFC s becoming now. So I expect these people not to watch it. But we all know that won't happen. People will just moan about it here. Then buy it. Then talk crap about Dana as if he forced them to buy it. Really makes no sense, when this "unfair" match making can be changed if people would stop buying the ones they feel are "unfair".

Dana White gives people the fights they want and he has said that is what he tries to do. Not sure why people have such a hard time grasping the concept. But we still have people here telling us Hendricks is on a win streak and Diaz is not....as if it is new information.

GSP battered Fitch for 25 minutes, Hendricks only needed 12 seconds to get him, Kampmann's been hit by Ellenberger, Alves, Daley and Marquardt and Hendricks was the first guy to put him out cold clean and he needed less than a minute to do so.

How is that NOT entertaining? Again, I get why Nick get's the shot, that's fine but people are acting like Hendricks just wrestles guys, that's not the case, he's a guy with real one punch knockout power and that's easy to promote.
Didn't mean to say that Hendricks isn't entertaining. Just that the UFC is in the business of selling fights, and demand for one fight is much higher than another they're going to choose to sell it because the UFC is a business more than a moderator of fairness.

Agreed.

It is exactly what Dana says over and over and over that they are. He says "this is a business".

So when people act like they are surprised that it is ran that way....it really makes me scratch my head. People seem to whine and cry because it isn't working out like they want it too. If you don't like it...and the UFC is losing credibility...Dana and the UFC isn't forcing anyone to watch this fight.

Everyone here should not buy the Diaz fight. Then buy the Hendricks title fight. Dana goes by the numbers. Don't complain about a fight for months then buy it. It is delusional and idiotic. Hypocritical you can throw in there too.

It is sad that people are still nuts over this. I never seen 5 pagers on how Chael got a shot over Hendo. Even though that was a bigger slight.

Get over it, Johnny Hendricks finally has.
You only took half of my statement here. The whole statement says that they shouldn't be able to pick fights with guys coming off year long suspensions and a loss. Nowhere on this forum have I ever stated that champs shouldn't be able to pick their fights, that's a privilege that comes with being the best in the division, as long as it makes some sense. I also don't know where you are getting that I think I run the UFC or that I should say what should go on or not go on. Everyone here is just saying what they feel should happen, I just thought I would join in the conversation, that is the point of a forum.

Ok elaborate on why you don't think he should be allowed to call out Diaz who was on a 9 month suspension? But on the other hand you think some champs have the right/privilege to pick a fight in other situations?

I picked your quote out for little reason. I shouldn't of quoted anyone and just gave my 2 cents on this big deal that has been going on for months.

There you go again, taking things out of context. All fighters deserve the right to pick their next fight, assuming it logically makes sense. GSP is in no shape to be calling Diaz out, he has a whole field of talent waiting in the wings who have rightfully proven themselves. A choice between these fighters which have proven themselves ready is the logical one, not a guy coming off a loss and a suspension because he can't follow the rules. I suppose my qualm with this choice is that Diaz himself has said he thought he'd have to win at least another fight before he landed the chance at the belt. When the champion chooses q contender who doesn't feel like they deserve the shot yet, the champ needs to rethink his choice.

Wah, wah, wah. Hendricks has to wait all of four extra months for his shot. Big deal. Stop crying, enjoy the fight, or don't tune in at all. Who in the blue hell are any of you to judge GSP? Like you'd pass up the chance for a big payday at your jobs. Bunch of preachy fecking arsewipes.

He picked Diaz because he thought he'd have an easier fight and better chance. Period.
